Hellmut (Easway)

Milaisu Meizcherni Graich, officially titled Hellmut the Great, is a German-born Easwegian retired politician and ex-serviceman who served as Director of Public Works for Pomoresia from 31 March 2021 to 15 December 2021, 4th Grand Marshal of the Easwegian National Guard from 15 April 2021 to 29 July 2021, and 6th Marquis of Essrina from 1 January 2022 to 1 January 2023. He rose to power as leader of the Homonationalist Party of Easway (HPE), forming an almost unchallenged majority in federated Pomoresia (then known as the Pomors Strait) and taking charge of the National Directorate, the executive of the Easwegian Government, during 2021. During his leadership of the HPE, he fused queer identity with Easwegian nationalism, promoting an LGBT-inclusive corporatist state. As Grand Marshal, he led the mobilisation of the National Guard giving all 18 year olds training, and used his dual powers as commander-in-chief and government member to create criminal charges for homophobia and fashioned the intelligence service, the Eschgau, to identify alleged homophobes.

Hellmut was born in Germany's Rhineland Palatinate and met then Grand Councillor Emizerri along with Teireet. Hellmut and Teireet founded the HPE, originally termed the Homofascist Party of Easway as a satirical party to promote gay rights and mock the far-right. Hellmut briefly served in early 2021 as the head of Easway's intelligence service before focusing on his duties as a public representative. After Easway incorporated the Ryke Yse Islands in July 2021, he planned for a maximum detention facility on these small islands to house convicts, but failed to fulfil this as a new amendment declared being Grand Marshal and a Government member simultaneously as unconstitutional. He stayed on as leader of the HPE and stepped down as Grand Marshal, later that year becoming 2nd Supreme Director of Easway (chief of government), although factionalism and dissent led to his rival party the Mutualist Ouroboros Party (MOP) gaining dominance. After joining the head of state Imperative Council as Marquis of Essrina on 1 January 2022, the next month he disbanded the HPE and joined the MOP.

Hellmut is credited for establishing party politics in Easway and encouraging more people to join the National Directorate and become involved in government. His contributions to public service are considered broad and significant and the effects of his party can be felt nationwide. He is widely considered one of the greatest Easwegians, next to the founders. This reputation was solidified on the 1st January 2023 when Emizerri, former first Grand Councillor, invited Hellmut to his Meizchernei (Major) gens and had him styilised as Hellmut the Great.
