The Division of the Krysinyy Ostrov Territory (Rat Island) Act 2022 also known as the Rat Island Act 2022 was an Act of Congress that divided Rat Island between the Arstotzkan Union and Ward Empire. Following the Arstotzkan Invasion of the island on 4 November, the Arstotzkan Union did not wish to continue to hold the entire island and so allowed for the island to be divided between their strongest ally, the Ward Empire.

Section 1: Articles for the founding of the Krysinyy Ostrov Territory

Article 1: This Act will officially establish the island known as Rat Island (Motuopuhi Island) as a part of the sovereign state of the Independent Federal Republic of the Arstotzkan Union and the Greater Arstotzkan Union.

Article 2: The Arstotzkan Union and Ward Empire each will cede sovereignty of the entire island, and will create sovereign zones of control.

Section 2: Articles relating to the Division of the Island.

Article 3: The Island will be divided following a line that stretches across the channel of water, to be known as the Ward Channel. This line shall follow the coordinates in order:

  • -37.7112693 S, 176.1685541 E
  • -37.7113953 S, 176.1686926 E
  • -37.7114538 S, 176.1688501 E
  • -37.7115133 S, 176.1688746 E

Article 4: Both nations will agree to form territorial authorities over their respective areas. The Zones of Control will be named:

  • Arstotzkan Union Sovereign Territorial Zone
  • Ward Empire Sovereign Territorial Zone

Section 3: Arstotzkan Control over Arstotzkan Union Sovereign Territorial Zone.

Article 5: The Government of the Union and the Congress of the Union will have sole governmental authority over the territorial zone

Article 6: The Arstotzkan Federal Police Service (pursuant to Article 5 of the Police Force and Public Order Act 2022) Federal Police Department will be stationed in the Arstotzkan Union Sovereign Territorial Zone for general policing matters.

Article 7: Arstotzkan Highways, Roads and other public and general infrastructure shall be free to be constructed, maintained and managed (pursuant to the provisions of Land Vehicle and Safe Transportation Act 2023) across the AUSTZ.

Article 8: WE People’s will be free to cross the border into the AUSTZ and vice versa.[1]
