The coat of arms of the Commonwealth of Agatonia or the coat of arms of the Union of the Eight States, the Territories and the Crown Dependencies Represented in the High Commonwealth Council, more commonly simply known as the coat of arms of Agatonia, is the official coat of arms of the Commonwealth of Agatonia and the monarchy of Agatonia, presently Empress Sachiko I.[1] The coat of arms is one of the most widely used national symbols of Agatonia, alongside the flag of Agatonia, and is regularly used to represent Agatonia both internally and internationally. The colours on the shield appear in the flag of Agatonia, except for gold. The coat of arms is used by the government and in treaties regarding the Commonwealth of Agatonia. Although the usage coat of arms of Agatonia is not defined in the constitution, this symbol is used predominantly, alongside the flag of Agatonia
The current coat of arms was adopted on 13 December 2024 after the first coat of arms of Agatonia was disestablished. The current coat of arms has a better design, according to President Kaito I. The escutcheon of the coat of arms of Agatonia is: Party per bend sinister, Gules and Azure, Or a lion with Or two lions holding the lesser arms with Or a lion, while the official blazon of the coat of arms is as follows: Party per bend sinister, Gules and Azure, Or a lion. The shield is crowned with a coronet and supported by two lions Or armed and langued gules.
The supporters of the coat of arms are two golden lion holding the lesser arms with the crest above with another lion inside the lesser arms. There are no other variants than the current coat of arms held by two lions with a lion inside the shield of arms. The future coat of arms shall possibly have a lesser, middle and a greater coat of arms. The armiger of the coat of arms is Kaito I, as the President of Agatonia and the Minister of General Affairs. The armiger of the future coat of arms shall be either President Kaito I, Prime Minister Mūta Ushiyori or Empress Sachiko I.
Variants
The shield of arms shows a party per bend sinister divided by red (gules) and blue (azure). In the center of the shield of arms is a gold (or) lion. On both left and right side are two gold (or) lions holding the lesser arms. On the top of the shield of arms is a crown (coronet). On the bottom of the shield of arms is a wrappable paper with the text VNITAS EST FORTITVDO, meaning ''Union makes strength'', which was the motto of the People's Republic of Agatonia. The V is used instead of U to make it look like the Latin language text is the older version of the language itself.
A future coat of arms is expected to be used and made both internationally and domestically on 30 October 2024. The future coat of arms shall represent the eight coats of arms of the states of the Commonwealth of Agatonia. The coat of arms of Agatonia also applies to Territories and Crown Dependencies part of the sovereign state of Agatonia. The current coat of arms is the second coat of arms of Agatonia.
The coat of arms of the People's Republic of Agatonia showed a straight vertical flag pole of Agatonia with two diagonal flag poles with the flag of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Kingdom of Belgium. It showed Agatonia's neighbouring countries, in which Belgium previously had the now defunct two enclaves H23 and H24, which were claimed by the People's Republic of Agatonia as part of Baarle-Hertog. This one was the first coat of arms of Agatonia.
