The Arstotzkan State and National Security Agency or ASNSA, was one of the two federal intelligence agencies in the Arstotzkan Federal Government. Its parent division was the Department of Intelligence, which was a department of Arstotzkan High Command. Originally it was known as the Arstotzkan Union Security Intelligence Service. It was renamed due to the fact that its name and operation dated back to the original Arstotzkan Union under the Arstotzkan Union National Government.
In 2022, along with the Arstotzkan Federal Intelligence Service, both organizations were placed into the new State Committee for National Security and Intelligence (SCNSI).
History
The ASNSA was founded on 22 August 2019 under the order of President Ethan Brinkman as a means for the protection of National Intelligence and Security. Its original name, the Arstotzkan Union Security Intelligence Service was used up until it was renamed in February 2021.
On the 17th August 2020, the AUSIS conducted it's first intelligence operation, Operation: National Security. The objective and execution of the Operation have been highly classified. No information is known all that is known is that the operation was conducted and was never announced to the National Assembly of the Arstotzkan Union, with many members never having heard of the operation.
Prior to the start of the Arstotzkan - Confederate War, agents from the AUSIS were sent to investigate the new nation, in what became known as Operation: Rebellion Destruction. The operation was ended when agents discovered evidence that the rebellion was known as the Confederate Democracy of Gamers and was a foreign nation. However these actions were beneficial in the drafting and deployment of Operation: Foreign Destruction.
