News Abuse
Hello! I’m conerned over the excessive amount of articles in the main page. I get that the Abeldane Telegraph was accepted into the main headlines page. But I think that it’s a little overboard. I mean, the articles are very qualititative and contextual, but they appear too much. This is a “complaint” because even Austenasia gives your 30% of the entire headlines page, which is actually a lot! My point here is that the articles are where they shouldn’t be. Examples include the current articles in the “Other news” section. While micronations that don’t need the approved newspaper are reporting, you use too much space in either section. Some micronations want people who actively scroll down to see their stories, without having their newspaper articles approved. But the problem with you is that you even manage to use that space, whilst being used for other micronational news. I really like sharing my news that I posted literally 48 hours ago. When I checked, my article was almost at the bottom. This should happen, only if there’s a maximum of 2 articles of the same newspaper. Usually around half of the “Current headlines” section is of the Abeldsne Telegraph, but now even 3/8 of the entire articles in the “Other news” section are of the Abeldane Telegraph?! I’m not really happy about this... please give me a short reason.

- Wait, so you're saying don't make news? It's not the person's fault if they make lots of news articles. If you're jealous, do the same Sez (talk) 07:04, 7 January 2018 (UTC)
- "please give me a short reason" we have more news lol Bob Christ (talk) 08:41, 8 January 2018 (UTC)
- With all due respect, it is definitely not their fault that they compose so many news articles. Abelden, alongside various other nations of the community (like Esse, Shorewell, Austenasia, Glastieve) are really active, so if they wish to share the news that is coming out of their respective sphere, it is totally alright. Andany can post more articles by all means, if there is valuable information coming from the nation, but this does not mean you should hinder other people's abilities to post stuff on the news feed. I hope you understand what I mean by? Shorewell (talk) 14:40, 8 January 2018 (UTC)
- I don't like to take a very soft stance on this issue and I'm just going to say that you do have the right to complain but it's also unfair to our side for being told that having plenty of news is bad and that it's out fault that we are trying to "use" plenty of the slots available. If you're jealous, fine, but do something about it rather than rant in my page about it. We shouldn't adjust for just one nation just because they said so. Having plenty of news isn't bad, but apparently it is now. And just for the record, we've only done a maximum of 3 out of 8 articles for the main headline news so don't go complaining that we've got the most and we have never held a record for having the most articles in the headlines for a week or day or whatever. Other nations have done more for sure.
So thank you very much. MilitarmiaGov (talk) 17:23, 8 January 2018 (UTC)
