The State of Land (/ˈlænd/) commonly known as Land is a landlocked micronation located in Luzon, Philippines. It is made up of one superstate called "Land Territory Division" which was founded back on June 20, 2024 after the merging of the former shelter states of the nation, it is made up of only one city. called Center. The country's land is only made up of flatlands.

Originally inhabited by an ilonggo person, since 2015, The country is dominantly inhabited by the tagalog people. The country was founded on May 21, 2024 and declared its independence on May 30, 2024 from the Philippines

The country has saw a government interlude in its early history. The country was a one-man micronation until June 14, 2024, consequently, the exact same date when the diarchy was established on the country; also the exact date the State of Land constitution was changed to a transitional constitution. On August 2, 2024. Land abolished its diarchy and imposed a provisional government with Rey Alexander acting as provisional leader. The country saw its first constitution being nulled, and the Provisional Government is set to last until a new constitution is enacted. The micronation is declared inactive by Rey Alexander on October 17, 2024 and is brush-aside due to busy schedule and school.

Land is a least developed country with an HDI of 0.482 and ranked 71st in the micronational world and an economy ran by students outside of the country.

Etymology

The name Land came directly from the German word of "land" meaning "state". It may also mean "Something you step, run, or crawl on".

History

Pre-foundation

The founder of Land, Rey Alexander. Initially planned to create the micronation to learn about politics and how micronationalism works in general.

First era (May 2024–June 2024)

On May 21, 2024, Rey Alexander officially founded the State of Land as its autocratic dictator. The country was declared to reside in a shanty. On May 30, 2024, The state of Land officially declared their independence with a twenty-three word declaration of independence stating the inclusion and secession of the country out of the Philippines.

On June 2, 2024. The State of Land changed its government from an autocracy to a republic that immediately took effect on the whole country, consequently, this was the time where the State of Land constitution was ratified.

On June 13, 2024, following an unstructured government and no other politicians other than Rey Alexander. Rey Alexander announced that Land would be an autocratic state once again, the constitution was also changed in the process.

Diarchy established (June 2024)

On June 13, 2024 Alexander's brother Alex has been announced a citizen of Land becoming the first resident to get a citizenship. On June 14, 2024, Land was officially announced as a diarch state by Alexander and his brother Alex. With the coronation speech:

With the diarchy's establishment, Land's constitution was changed and announced as a transitional constitution.

Provisional Government imposed (August 2024–Present)

On August 2, 2024. The diarchy of Land was abolished and was short-lived only lasting 50 days spanning from June to August.

The diarchy is replaced by a Provisional Government with former diarch Rey Alexander acting as provisional leader and declaring that the first constitution of Land is nulled. The Provisional Government is set to replace the confusing hereditary diarch system of Land with a new smoothly functioning government. The Provisional Government is set to last until a new constitution is adopted and enacted.

Inactivity

On October 17, 2024. The micronation was declared as inactive by Rey Alexander as it was shunned of because of school and a busy schedule, the micronation's general news of information The State of Land news agency was also deemed inactive as well as its social medias.

Land is a landlocked micronation in Luzon, Philippines, Land covers an area of 0.000117 km2 (4.5×10−5 sq mi), Land is only made up of Flatlands as its land.

Climate

Just like the Philippines, Land is made up of only two seasons, dry and rainy seasons.

Government and politics

Land's government is currently a Provisional Government. In its history, Land saw an interlude of government changes in its early history. Land was an autocratic state, all legislative power was also dominated and controlled by a single-man, after on June 2, 2024 Land made a significant change to their government and was replaced by a unitary republic. On June 13 following an unstructured government, Land switched back as an autocratic state. On August 2, 2024 Land's diarchy was abolished only lasting 50 days.

Land's Provisional Government was imposed because:

• To replace the diarchy with a fully functional type of govenrance.
• To give time for Land to choose a new government.

The current provisional leader of Land Rey, is the only government representative and have the parliamentary power, although its limited as the State Decree no. 4 states his responsibilities and values.

The Provisional Leader shall act in the best interests of the nation and its citizens, prioritizing peace, security, and development.

The Provisional Leader is committed to upholding democratic principles, human rights, and the rule of law during the transitional period.

Territory

Land is made up of one super state known as the "Land Division Territory" where the only city and the capital of city resides. Before the creation of the superstate, Land was divided into two states known as "shelter states" which are: Main, and Subsidiary Shelter State. On June 20, 2024, both shelter states were merged to form a super state due to the inactivity and irrelevancy of Subsidiary Shelter State. Both landman cities were also affected by the change as Cabin was announced to be merged with Center to form one united city.

Foreign relations

Land has one recorded diplomatic relation. Land made their first diplomatic relation on June 12, 2024 with Zakinesia with the agreement of an alliance and recognition.

Economy

Land's economy is ran outside of the country, with a nominal GDP of $4.97 a year coming from citizen income mostly from students, the micronation has no natural resources due to its geographical location, thus making a simple economic structure and products mostly hard to create. Citizens are exempted to pay taxes.

Land uses the philippine peso as its currency as Land relies on Filipino markets for basic necessities.

As a small landlocked country, Land lacks the ability to create roads and walking is considered as the only mode of transport of the country.

Landmans' culture mostly developed by assimilating Spanish American, and Filipino culture from the values, religions, and holidays.

First adopted on 2024, the anthem is played during special ceremonies and for patriotic purposes. The anthem is one minute and thirty-seven seconds long. The anthem has no official lyrics accompanying it.

History

The anthem was first played on May 31, 2024, as a debut and a patriotic sign of a new long-lasting nation of State of Land.

Current version

The current official version of March of Land only uses one instrument, the french horn.

Music and tempo

The anthem is played in a time signature of (1/1) and a bpm of 80 of (♩=80), each bar has one whole note and follows the Do Re Mi (CDEFGABC) scale from increasing to decreasing and is played twice.

Etiquette

As an anthem that symbolizes peace and patriotism for the nation, it is required to stand and do the salute pose while the anthem is playing, another etiquette is if your hands are tired, you are allowed to switch to another hand or put your arm on your chest.
