The State of Land commonly known as Land is a landlocked micronation located in Luzon, Philippines.[2] It consists of two states known as "Shelter States" and only made up of two cities,[3] the capital and largest city Center, and the city of Cabin. The country's land is only made up of flatlands.

Originally inhabited by an ilonggo person, since 2015, The country is dominantly inhabited by the tagalog people.

The country has saw four government changes throughout its history. The country was a one-man micronation until June 14, 2024, consequently, the exact same date when the diarchy was established on the country; also the exact date the State of Land constitution was changed to a transitional constitution.[4]

Land is a least developed country with an HDI of 0.482 and ranked 71st, in addition, Land has a score of 2.0 in the Categoric-Gradial System of Classification

Etymology

The name Land came directly from the German word of "land" meaning "state". It may also mean "Something you step, run, or crawl on".

History

Pre-foundation

The founder of Land, Rey. Got the idea of doing an experiment on what it feels like be president.

First era (May 2024–June 2024)

On May 21, 2024, Rey officially founded the State of Land as its autocratic dictator. The country was declared to reside in a shanty.

On May 30, 2024, The state of Land officially declared their independence with a twenty-three word declaration of independence stating the inclusion and secession of the country out of the Philippines.[5][6]

On June 2, 2024. The State of Land changed its government from an autocracy to a republic that immediately took effect on the whole country, [7] consequently, this was the time where the State of Land constitution was ratified.[8][1]

On June 13, 2024, following an unstructured government and no other politicians rather than Rey. Rey announced that Land would be an autocratic state once again, the constitution was also changed in the process.[9]

Diarchy established(June 2024–Present)

On June 13, 2024 Rey's brother Alex has been announced a citizen of Land becoming the first resident to get a citizenship.[10] On June 14, 2024, Land was officially announced as a diarch state by Rey and his brother Alex.[4] With the coronation speech:

–Are you ready to protect and serve the country?

–Yes!

With the diarchy's establishment, Land's constitution was changed and announced as a transitional constitution.[4]

Geography

Land is a landlocked micronation in Luzon, Philippines, Land covers an area of 0.000117 km2 (4.5×10−5 sq mi), Land is only made up of Flatlands as its land.

Climate

Just like the Philippines, Land is made up of only two seasons, dry and rainy seasons. Land has access to winds due to electric fans, these electric fans are also used to decrease the country's rising temperature.

This topographical map is used for treaties and other politics related activities, meanwhile the detailed map is used for geographical related activities.

Government and politics

Land saw four government changes in its history. Land was an autocratic state, all legislative power was also dominated and controlled by a single-man, after on June 2, 2024 Land made a significant change to their government and was replaced by a unitary republic. On June 13 following an unstructured government, Land switched back as an autocratic state.[9] On June 14, 2024, Land was announced as a diarch state where two people run and govern the country.

Diarchy

The diarchy is hereditary, the two oldest children of both diarchs are chosen as their successor, if not applicable the two oldest children in either the diarch's side are chosen, if still not applicable two random diarchs would be chosen that has the closest ancestry with both diarchs.[12]

Both diarchs share legislative power and has the ability to give acting spots to ministries if needed.

Territories

Land consists of two states known as "Shelter States" which serves different purposes for living standards.[3][13]

Land recognizes every country on the UN. Land has one recorded diplomatic relation. Land made their first diplomatic relation on June 12, 2024 with Zakinesia with the agreement of an alliance and recognition.[14][15]

Economy

Land's economy is run outside of the country, with a nominal GDP of $4.97 a year coming from citizen income mostly from students, the micronation has no natural resources due to its geographical location, thus making a simple economic structure and products mostly hard to create. Citizens are exempted to pay taxes.

Currency

Land uses the philippine peso as its currency as Land relies on Filipino markeys for basic necessities.

Transport

As a small landlocked country, Land lacks the ability to create roads and walking is considered as the only mode of transport of the country.

Culture

Landmans' culture mostly developed by assimilating Spanish American, and Filipino culture from the values, religions, and holidays.

Simplicity and minimalism are the core values of a Landman, Landmans are known for respecting other cultures around the world and acknowledges them.

Religion

Residents and citizens from Land have a freedom to their religion and accepts one another, Christianity especially catholicism are the dominant religion of the nation practiced by 100% of the population.

The catholicism roots of Land can be traced from the Philippines from the Spanish colonization.[16]

Symbols and icons

Land's national color is white, it symbolizes peace and tranquility around the micronation.[17]

Consequently, the flag of Land also has the same meaning, the white represents peace and tranquility around the micronation.

The seal of Land has two variations, a white one and a plain grey one, grey is the most used variation of the seal, as most documents and literature written in Land are white.

Anthem

The March of Land also known as Marcha ng Land in Filipino, and also know by its other name as (The Ninety-seven seconds March Melody) is the national anthem of Land.[17]

First adopted on 2024, the anthem is played during special ceremonies and for patriotic purposes. The anthem is one minute and thirty-seven seconds long. The anthem has no official lyrics accompanying it.

History

The anthem was first played on May 31, 2024, as a debut and a patriotic sign of a new long-lasting nation of State of Land.[18]

Current version

The current official version of March of Land only uses one instrument, the french horn.

Music and tempo

The anthem is played in a time signature of (1/1) and a bpm of 80 of (♩=80), each bar has one whole note and follows the Do Re Mi (CDEFGABC) scale from increasing to decreasing and is played twice.[19]

Etiquette

As an anthem that symbolizes peace and patriotism for the nation, it is required to stand and do the salute pose while the anthem is playing, another etiquette is if your hands are tired, you are allowed to switch to another hand or put your arm on your chest.[19]

Residents of Land have a broad access to Land media (News, information, entertainment, etc.). Land have their own social media and website pages, Land's main news network is the "State of Land news agency" launched in May 29, 2024, it aims to give full-detail information and news about the micronation.[20]
