Sri Pradhana, literally meaning one of premier birth, is the second highest rank of nobility in Vishwamitra which is conferred upon a non-royal subject in due recognition of their services. The rank-holders form the second highest group in the nobility and precede after the title-holders of Sri Rajanya but rank above Sri Nayak. The rank of Sri Pradhana roughly equivalent to a count.

The title was introduced on 30 July 2024 by Rashtradhyaksh Varuna Sriraya, two days ahead of his second installation.

History

The history of nobility in Vishwamitra dates back to 2020 when Rashtradhyaksh Varuna Sriraya constituted the national peerage. The counts formed the second highest class of the peerage after the dukes and were awarded usually to senior members of the government, diplomats, etc.

Following the abolition of the peerage in 2023, the Raj Vibhushans replaced the counts in the peerage. The title of Raj Vibhushan was discontinued in April 2024 by a royal decree. The title of Sri Pradhana was created on 30 July 2024 along with the other two noble ranks.
