The Second Kingdom of Cristoria (German: Zweites Königreich Cristoria), commonly referred to as Cristoria, is a micronation located in Toledo, Ohio. It was formed on 30 September 2023 after the dissolution of the former socialist republic. As of now, it has no leader, instead being controlled directly by its mother country, the Holstonian Empire.
History
Free State of Cristoria
On 6 June 2020, Cristoria was created as an anarchist state by Christopher P. and his brother, Braedyn. This was due to recent occurrences in the United States, such as the murder of George Floyd, which occurred the previous month in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Everything went well until 3 December 2020, when a home invader made their way into the state, thus starting a battle at their capital city, New Toledo. After it had ended, the state was dissolved as Chris decided that Cristoria needed a government to ensure that its citizens felt safe.
Empire of Cristoria
On 17 February 2021, Cristoria was re-created, this time as an empire. Chris was crowned as Emperor, New Toledo was re-instated as the capital, the flag was redesigned, and most importantly, it finally had a government.
In March, Cristoria began to claim parts of East Toledo, with the end goal being to claim the entire city. This did not go exactly to plan. The Imperial Cristorian Government (as it was now called) began to realize that all these claims of land were the rightful homes of American citizens. Therefore, out of fear of a war being started with the United States, the government was shut down and Chris abdicated his throne, consequently dissolving the Empire.
Kingdom of Cristoria
On 6 August 2021, Cristoria was re-created again, this time as a kingdom. For the first three months of its existence, it did not have a leader. Then on 11 November 2021, Chris would take the throne, and was therefore crowned as King.
Before and during Chris' reign, Cristoria went through a development phase which lasted from August of 2021 to February of 2022. Following this event, Cristoria began allowing diplomatic alliances with other micronations.
In May and June of 2022, Cristoria declared war against the Kingdom of Huntia and the Federation of Gorthia. Huntia had spread propaganda and made false claims that Chris was tyrannical, and Gorthia blamed Cristoria for causing a cyber attack that occurred in their Discord server.
On 27 August 2022, the governments of both Cristoria and Gorthia decided to team up and take Huntia down. This was due to both learning of racist statements made by Huntia's King, Cameron Clark. After the war was over, Huntia was no more, and Cameron Clark disappeared off the face of the platform. These wars became known as the Cristoro-Huntian Cold War and War on Gorthalism respectfully.
On 26 December 2022, the Cristorian Parliament decided to dissolve the Kingdom. This was due to a decline in the economy, as well as them wanting to protect Cristoria's borders. A day later, the Rosso-Cristorian Empire was created. It was to be an absolute diarchy, with Chris and former citizen CCE being its Kings. However, the new Empire was not exactly popular among former citizens, and it was dissolved on 31 December 2022.
Republic of Cristoria
On 1 January 2023, Cristoria was re-created yet again, this time as a constitutional republic. Chris had aspirations of turning Cristoria into a country with a government similar to that of the United States, and it turned out to be very popular among its citizens. On the same day, its declaration of independence, constitution, and book of laws were presented to the new Cristorian Congress, nicknamed the "First Continental Congress" to pay homage to the United States.
On 21 January 2023, Gorthia became hostile towards Cristoria. A few days later on 28 January, Cristoria responded by creating a Discord bot that was theoretically capable of nuking Gorthia's Discord server, which it did successfully. This started a small-scale propaganda war that ended the following the day with the signing of the Treaty of Jwanczuk. This war, while not nearly as long as the first, came to be known as the Second War on Gorthalism, and paved the way for what is now the Federal Dynasty of Gorthia.
Socialist Republic of Cristoria
On 19 February 2023, Chris made an arguably foolish decision to work with Tizian Aruna, the leader of the United Socialist Republics (also referred to as Almendria), to turn Cristoria into one of its "Autonomous Republics" (ARs). One of the agreements made was that Cristoria was to become a socialist nation. A decision that was popular among socialists and communists, but less popular with others.
By March, Chris had understood the mistake he made, and instead of going through the process of getting it back by asking Tizian and having him set up an election so that Cristoria could gain independence again, he nuked his own Discord server and created a new one. Though this resulted in him being doxxed, he felt it was the right thing to do, as those aforementioned elections are always rigged against those who seek independence from Almendria.
From July to August of 2023, tensions between Cristoria and Gorthia (who were allies at this point) began rising, and culminated in Gorthia's leader, Dylan Jwanczuk, condemning Cristoria, as well as all other nations in the Seigneurie, an economic and military alliance that was originally founded by Gorthia. This caused the Kaiser of the Holstonian Empire, CCE I, to draft and send a declaration of war to the Gorthian government on behalf of the Seigneurie, which only resulted in a two-week standoff. Despite this, some people still nicknamed it the "Third War on Gorthalism".
By late September of 2023, there was a severe decline within Cristoria. Its Congress wasn't passing any legislation, its Discord server was mostly inactive, and Chris was thinking about leaving micronationalism altogether to focus on his personal life. Eventually, on 30 September, after Cristoria's Congress held a vote with a majority in favor of dissolution, Chris gave his final speech to the Cristorian people:
"Tonight, on this very calm evening, on a Congressional majority-won poll, the Socialist Republic of Cristoria has been formally dissolved.
As the title suggests, I have made the ultimate choice to formally leave my micronational career in the dust.
We have worked hard and achieved many things together, but we have also faced many challenges and difficult times. I believe that it is important for us to acknowledge that some of our tactics, policies, and procedures have not been successful and that it is time for us to move on; indefinitely.
However, despite our victorious operations, the undeniable fact that we have been in decline had been inevitably true and has become increasingly true as of recently.
It has become true to me that our experiment of Marxism has been successful, but it must meet it's natural end, just as I intended in February.
The last Congressional bill passed was the Internationalist Aid Act, passed by the Independent Cristorian Party in Congress; last month, a sign of internal decomposition.
I believe that I have fulfilled my duties as President to the maximizing point during my presidency, and you; my cabinet, the Congressmen have fulfilled your duties too.
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. We must understand that we cannot afford to be the policemen of the community anymore. I also cannot afford to lose anymore hours of sleep, stressing on what I should do next with Cristoria; trying to keep us collectively as an active micronation.
This decision of Congress was not light and this shouldn't be seen as an abandonment or betrayal of the Cristorian project, but rather putting it to rest; indefinitely.
I have gone through four realms including this one, and nothing has exceeded 2 years of service, our most successful rendition being the Kingdom of Cristoria, lasting one year and some change.

Second Kingdom of Cristoria
Shortly before the aforementioned speech was given, a deal was struck between Chris and CCE I. Cristoria would be Holstonia's responsibility, any flags and symbols were to not be reused as Chris planned to use them for something in the future, and most importantly, Cristoria would not be completely gone. As of today, it is going through a redevelopment phase, and it will likely be in said phase for the foreseeable future.
Government
The government of the Second Kingdom of Cristoria consists of an elected King voted in by the people, as well as his Royal Cabinet. Members of this "Royal Cabinet" are either appointed by the King himself, or by the Holstonian Parliament. They act as the King's personal advisors, working with the Holstonian Parliament to make decisions and pass legislation that will benefit the Cristorian people.
