Royal assent
Royal assent is the method by which a monarch formally approves an act of the legislature (either directly, or through an official acting on the monarch's behalf). In some jurisdictions, royal assent is equivalent to promulgation, while in others that is a separate step.
Royal assent is sometimes associated with elaborate ceremonies. In the Kingdom of Ikonia, for instance, the sovereign may appear personally in the town of Uvenia to announce that royal assent has been granted for an act. However, royal assent is usually granted less ceremonially by implementing the nation's royal arms.
Ikonia
In Ikonia, royal assent, if not all, are usually granted by applying the coat of arms to the act, such as the Baker Island Act, yet some hold ceremonies in towns, such like Uvenia. A ceremony for the Whiskey Islands Act was passed, and a printed image of the flag was shown hung on a wall.
Corollia
In Corollia, Grand Ducal Assent is only used to approve of Parliament's amendments of the Constitution, while the ordinary legislation does not require monarch's assent.
Granby
In Granby, the Royal Assent is used to approve all Parliament's Laws as well as amendments to the Constitution. Only the Monarch (His Majesty the King) may grant and give Royal Assent in Parliament. In the provinces, Administrators can, on the behalf of the Granbian Monarch, give the provinicial Royal Assent to laws.
