The royal coat of arms of Baustralia, or the Royal Arms for short, are the official coat of arms of the Baustralian monarch, John. These arms are used by the King as the monarch of the Kingdom of Baustralia. Variants of the Royal Arms are used by other members of the Baustralian royal family. The arms in banner form serve as basis for the monarch's official flag, known as the Royal Standard.

The arms consist of the four largest counties quartered together, with the same crest as the previous arms

The blazon for the current royal coat of arms are as follows:

Quarterly, first grandquarterly, first and fourth per bend sinister Purpure and Or a lion rampant counterchanged for Timpson, and second and third quarterly Gules and Argent for Caravaggio), second tierced per fess Gules Argent and Azure, two men jousting, the dexter man bearing the standard of the Royal Family of Canada and a coronet of a United Empire Loyalist, the sinister man bearing the flag of Baustralia and crowned royally, in chief three maple leaves Or, in base three cloverleafs Vert, third Or, on a fess wavy Azure a lion passant contourné armed and langued Azure, in chief two fleurs-de-lys Azure, and in base two inverted fleurs-de-lys Azure, and fourth Azure a luce haurient Argent and a bordure Argent; the whole surrounded by the Gadus; for a Crest, upon the Royal helm the Royal Crowned Proper, thereon a Lion statant gardant Or royally crowned Proper; Mantling Azure and Ermine; for Supporters, dexter, a stag, sinister, a bear gorged with a circlet Gules bearing the shield of the House of Caravaggio, for a compartment, a Caravaggio rose, bluebonnets, magnolias, and trilliums, all proper; and for a motto "Dieu et mon Droit" Azure below the shield.

History

2018 - 2023

From 2018 to 2023, the shield was quartered, depicting in the first and fourth quarters the Baustralian fish; in the second, the Riel of Ostreum; and in the third, a W for Wangatangia. The crest was a statant guardant lion wearing the Tudor crown, himself on another representation of that crown. The supporters are a likewise crowned lion. After the royal crown was updated in 2022, all representations of the Tudor crown was replaced.

In the greenery below, a fish swimming in a creek were depicted, representing Tentacion Creek, which was the location of the battle for Tentacion independence. This armorial achievement comprised the still-current motto, in French, of the Baustralian monarch, Dieu et mon Droit ("God and my Right"), as well as the Gadus circlet which surrounds the shield, inscribed with the Order's motto, A bene placito ("From one well pleased").

The blazon for the former royal coat of arms were as follows:

Quarterly, first and fourth Sable a Baustralian fish naiant Azure (for Baustralia), second quarter Gules a Riel (﷼) or (for Ostreum), third quarter Azure a letter 'W' Or (for Wangatangia), the whole surrounded by the Gadus; for a Crest, upon the Royal helm the Royal Crowned Proper, thereon a Lion statant gardant Or royally crowned Proper; Mantling Azure and Ermine; for Supporters, a Lion rampant gardant Or crowned as the Crest. Motto "Dieu et mon Droit" Azure in the compartment below the shield.

Royal crown

The Tudor crown was the original representation of the Crown of Baustralia in heraldry. It was replaced in 2022 by a design similar to the Imperial State Crown of the United Kingdom, designed by Aidan McGrath, with minor revision from King John.

Uses

This coat of arms is used on crown and government documents, and acts as arms of dominion. It also appears as the rank insignia for Warrant officers.
