The Robinson Conflict also known as the OGF Range War was a civil conflict between New German-Chavaleir immigrants and the Weg government. The conflict became violent when Colonel Ivan von Burghoff, a former New German Officer was hired by the Brotherhood of Rocinates to disrupt the Weg government. A large population of Chaveleir citizens live above what New German-Chavaleirs call the Potawatomi Line. New German-Chavaleirs are treated harshly by locals and are often dined Weg citizenship and land deeds because of their lack of citizenship.

Collapse of the PUCS

The People's Union of Chavaleir Socialists lost a civil war between itself and the Chavaleir anti-communist league. The New People's Alliance, the ruling party of the PUCS was dismantled and the remnants of the Chavaleir Socialist Government retreated Lostcow to Dammit, where the Grassroots Party runs the remnants of the Socialist nation continues past Interstate-90 based on the PUCS original values. The Civil war continues between the Chavaleir Republic, which comprises of the developed cities in the south, and the PUCS, which comprises the desolate Damwoods and Algonquin Runs. The PUCS declared independence from New Germany after communists from a niche internet community took over the small government of the New German colony. Most of these communists were located abroad, leaving New Germans to either leave or slowly become left-leaning. After the authoritarian New People's Alliance took power in October 2021 there was a large exodus of New German-Chavaleirs. The oppressive and undemocratic nature of the NPA government led to the civil war.

Ausverian involvment

The vast majority of Weg citizens hate Ausveria for its near alt-right membership. The Weg government officially condemns Ausveria and enforces a "non-sportsmand engagement" meaning the Weg government will refuse to defend hostilities against itself in a professional way. The Weimar Confederation however has admired Ausveria's Germanic aesthetic and made a jester of good faith by giving land to Austria. However, the land is unused as Ausveria is based in New York. Colonel Ivan von Burghoff read Strength, Courage, and Bravery - The Manifesto for a Greater Ausveria. and formed the Des Plaines Chapter of the Organization for a Greater Fatherland all be it with a more moderate and democratic view of the ideology. The group is a fringe group in the Des Plaines Valley and has no political power in any regional government.

December 19th Border clash

Members of the OGF-DPC were hired by the Brotherhood of Rocinates, an organization for the advocacy of the New-German Chavaleirs, to disrupt the Weg Governemnt. Armed members of OGF-DPC crossed the border and entered Robinson Customs station. The Wegmat Border Police drew weapons and ordered the armed group to deport immediately from Wegmat. The OGF-DPC opened fire upon the border officers and had to retreat after receiving heavy fire. The firefight ended in a stalemate and the OGF henchmen returned to the Chaveleir Republic. Wegmat Ministry of Foreign Exchange ordered the Chavaleir Republic to extradite the members on charges of Illegal International Weapons Shipment and Terrorism. The Chevalier Republic claims that it was a complete accident for the OGF to not be stopped before exiting the country. The Chavaleir Government did not do anything about the OGF men in question. Burghoff saw an opportunity and built up henchmen along the Weg border to launch an offensive onto local ranches in Lawrence National Forest and the customs and port of Robinson.

Darkwater Affair

OGF-DPC and armed Brotherhood members began an attack on Fort Unami outside Darkwater. Wegmat Marines fired at the armed group. Colonel Ivan von Burghoff, referred to as "Titanic Ego Ivan' by Wegs, ordered F.C.O. Coral to surrender. F.C.O. Coral, commander of Fort Unami ordered the armed forces to stand down and wait for law enforcement to arrive. Half the marines refused and fired at the armed group until their retreat into Chili Grove Stead, a homestead owned by New German-Chavaleirs.

Tension between the governments

The Weg Prime minister stated on December 19th that “ After Christmas, the 5th Infantry Regiment will be moved to WM Lawrence and the Robinson Customs Station in response to a border security threat.” The southern Wegs were deployed to the area. In response, the Chavaleir Republic mobilized half its military to the Weg-Chavaleir Border despite its ongoing civil war. President James Panton took office on 1 January 2023. Panton is referred to as a war hawk and wants to increase military spending, which has been at an all-time low in favor of the ongoing Weg government budge in favor of cultural spending. The tension could increase into a war if the Chavaleir Republic invades in order to reach the Potawatomi Line.
