Hawth-Koufax is a province in Edwardsville, Illinois and is the second oldest administrative division of the Provincist Republic of Schpecktenia. Hawth-Koufax was originally founded as Hawthorne during the Imperial Federation of Schpecktenia on 26 June 2023.
Etymology
Hawth-Koufax comes from the unification of the Province of Hawthorne and the State of Koufax after the Goshen Plan ultimately failed. Hawthorne comes from a neighborhood's name and Koufax comes from a street name.
History
Hawthorne was founded in hopes to attract more attention to the Greater Metro East with the Colonization of Hawthorne Pond in June 2023. Hawthorne survived alone for most of its existence, being one of two Schpecktenian states not to be involved in the Greater Metro East War. During the Imperial Federation, colonizing micronations gained dual online citizenship in the united Province of Hawth-Koufax during late 2023. Hawth-Koufax united with other small neighboring Schpecktenian lands to form a provincial government aligned with Provincism on 7 February 2024.
