The Goshen Plan was a plan to expand the Imperial Federation of Schpecktenia's mainland by expanding its borders east to united the Province of Meadowen to the Province of Hawthorne. The Goshen Plan mainland lasted from 24 August 2023 to 15 November 2023, with 5 out of the 7 states now defunct.
Background
Large Schpecktenian Landmass
From the Second Republic of Schpecktenia to the Third Imperial Schpecktenian Republic, Schpecktenia had a very large landmass. Schpecktenia claimed several Illinois and Missouri counties, but then sized down to four Illinois cities. After the Second Dark Times and the creation of the Imperial Federation, Schpecktenia had a completely smaller land area.
Plans to Expand
During the war between Schpecktenia and the Kaiserreich of New Prussia, Ruby Specht I planned to used reperations from New Prussia to create a mainland, if they won the war. The proposed map created during the time was extremely similar to how the Goshen Plan turned out. Nonetheless, the original plan was never carried out.
Goshen Plan
Schpecktenia finally started moving forward in creating a mainland in 22 August 2023, creating a map and names for states. The Province of Meadowen would expand in area, and the Province of Hawthorne would stay the same. Once everything was completed and approved, the Goshen Plan was officially announced over a week early.
Citizen Boom
Following the Goshen Plan, Schpecktenia would gain multiple new citizens, each getting a role to govern the newly created states. Schpecktenian economy was thriving, the United Military of Schpecktenia had more soldiers, and life in the nation was greatly improved. The government changed in having the Grand Assembly of Schpecktenia being created, but would lessen the power of at least one other state.
Greater Metro East War
One state would declare independence from Schpecktenia, the Province of Drost. The newly formed nation of the Empire of Taydrostia thought the government system was unfair, and a war broke out between Schpecktenia, New Prussia, and Taydrostia. In the early days of the war, Taydrostia would annex and relinquish the Province of Plum Woods, a state created during the Goshen Plan. Overcoming the territory loss, Schpecktenia and New Prussia would win the war, and Taydrostia converted into the Republic of Taydrostia.
Downfall
After the war and losing a state, Ruby I would consider the fairness of the Schpecktenian government. Many improvements in the government improved the nation, but one thing was still keeping it down. The large mainland was then dismantled on 15 November 2023, leaving just the unification of Hawthorne and Koufax, Meadowen, and Stallion existing. Only 19% of the mainland exists today, but Schpecktenia still thrives as a micronation.
