The Order of Creek and Lake (formerly the Order of Creek), formally the Most Ancient and Most Noble Order of Creek and Lake, is an order of chivalry founded by Queen Erica of the United Kingdom of Creek and Lake on 25 January 2019. It is the most senior order of chivalry in the Creekian and Lacian honors system.
Appointments are at the sovereign's sole discretion and are usually in recognition of a national contribution of the highest degree for honor, service, glory, merit, loyalty, fortitude, and fidelity, or for personal service to the sovereign. Membership of the Order is limited to the sovereign, and no more than 24 other living members, known as Knights or Ladies. The Order also inducts supernumerary members (e.g. members of the royal family and foreigners).
Every year, on 25 January, the anniversary of the order is designated as "Creek and Lake Day".
History
The order was established on 25 January 2019 by Queen Erica by letters patent as the Order of Creek to recognize the highest rendering of services to the nation. The order was subsequently enlarged and reformed by Queen Christina I & II under letters patent dated 25 January 2023. The order was later renamed as the Order of Creek and Lake by King Arthur under letters patent dated 1 July 2024 and had its statutes amended once again.
