The monarchy of Barnland is the institution of the sovereign, whose title is Emperor. The Emperor is the absolute political and religious ruler in Barnland, having unlimited powers, though had delegated much of his power to the Minister-President and the Imperial Cabinet.
History

On 26 November 2021, Thomas Jacobs annexed all of County Leitrim, but instead of making the new territory a province of Roscamistan, he created the Empire of Barnland, consisting of all Leitrim.
Powers and Responsibilities
The monarch is the supreme leader and sovereign of the nation, having many powers in anything he desires. The House of Lords (the upper house of the Great People’s Congress) is appointed directly by him (by creating hereditary peerages), the Minister-President and the Secretaries of State are appointed by him, he is the supreme commander in chief of the Imperial Barnland Armed Forces and can do what ever he desires, only on the advice of the Minister-President.
The Emperor sees itself not as a continuation of Rome (called Imperium), but as the successor of the original First Empire of Barnland. The Emperor of the Second Barnland was the Emperor of the First Barnland, who reigned with the name of SixMeteor. though the original Barnland was that of a continuation of Rome. The Second Empire was born of memories of the first, and with it a new age of Monarchy.
Succession
The heir to the throne holds the title of King of Leitrim. The current king of Leitrim and heir to the throne is Shaun Jacobs, the father of Thomas Jacobs.
Era names
Every reign of a different Emperor is marked by its Era name. When the emperor dies, he shall be known posthumously by their era name. Currently the era name is SixMeteor, the reign of Emperor Thomas, and will be known posthumously as Emperor SixMeteor
