Kapresh ensigns

Kapresh ensigns are a type of flag inspired by British ensigns. They are often used for flags of colonies, dominions, and territories of Kapreburg.

History

Federation ensigns

The Federation of Kapreburg used ensigns, specifically for the different Federal Republic flags.

Naval jack ensigns

The first Kapresh ensign flags used the naval jack of Kapreburg instead of the national flag. In July 2021 the government began phasing out using the naval jack for ensigns.

Ensign colors

At first, green, orange, and blue were used for the ensigns. Originally, a darker blue, more reminiscent of the British blue ensigns was used, because the naval jack of Kapreburg was used in the canton, which is more similar to the Union Jack; however once the national flag began being used in the canton, Jackson I noted that using the darker blue looked awkward due to the bottom color on the flag being a dark blue, therefore he decided to use a light blue ensign instead. Once the national flag began being used in the ensigns, Jackson I also decided to begin using blue, white, and red ensigns instead, more similar to the original British ensigns.
