Kaňk is the smallest and the youngest region of the Duchy of Firburg. It was annexed in a referendum held from 30 November to 1 December 2020, with the citizens of Firburg unanimously in favour of annexation. It was annexed at midnight on 2 December 2020. Almost all of its territory is covered by a former limestone quarry. There are many sheep living on the territory of Kaňk, which graze the grass in an old cherry orchard, part of which is also located on the territory of Firburg. There are several hiking trails in the Kaňk area, making it the most visited area of Firburg. On 20 February 2022, a minor border adjustment took place and the region expanded by approximately 0.010 hectares.
