The Duke of Firburg is the head of state of the Duchy of Firburg. It is the highest position in the country, the title of Duke is held by Stefan Kutnix I. The post can only be left by death or resignation. The Duke's duties are to represent the state externally, to act as its representative, and to initiate the meetings and votes of the Ducal Council, which he also chairs. The Duke has the right of veto, can take and give citizenship, is a judge, represents the state externally, signs laws or bestows and confers state honours.
