The Holland Municipal Council or commonly, Holland, is one of four political districts called Councils within the Sovereign Municipality of Ameristralia. The Holland government is administered by a Peer of Ameristralia appointed by and on behalf of His Eminence the Sovereign Lord Mayor.

Etymology

Holland was named by His Eminence David Brooke. The name is derived from a street His Sovereign Eminence resided on when he was younger.

History

On 6 November 2021, His Eminence the Sovereign Lord Mayor announced via Royal Decree[1] the establishment of Municipal Councils in preparation of the Municipal Assembly election in February 2022. Lord Kevin Doan designed the flag of Holland.

Government and politics

Grosvenor is administered by the representative of His Eminence the Sovereign Lord Mayor David Brooke. Currently, an administrator has not been appointed. There is no formal government structure of Holland, as it exists for the purpose of appointing representation in the Municipal Assembly of Ameristralia.

Citizens of Ameristralia were initially designated to the council for the electoral process. Citizens may choose the council of citizenship when they apply via the Ministry of Immigration and Citizenship.

Law and order

The Constitution of The Sovereign Municipality of Ameristralia and legislation enacted by the Municipal Assembly of Ameristralia is effective in Holland and other Municipal Councils. The administrator of the council may enact minor regulations that do not violate the constitution or laws of the Municipality.

Geography and climate

Holland is located northwest of the Victorian capital city of Melbourne. The elevation is three metres above sea level. There are warm, dry summers and mildly cold, dry winters.
