The Dabad Municipal Council or commonly, Dabad, is one of four political districts called Councils within the Sovereign Municipality of Ameristralia. The Dabad government is administered by a Peer of Ameristralia appointed by and on behalf of His Eminence the Sovereign Lord Mayor.
Etymology
Dabad was named by the Right Honourable Countess of Dabad, Shannon Brooke. She chose the name because she often does the Dab. His Eminence David Brooke continually explains why, "the Dab is dead," to no avail. Lady Shannon began to refer to the Dab as dabad, jokingly. She was asked to name a Municipal Council and chose Dabad.
History
On 6 November 2021, His Eminence the Sovereign Lord Mayor announced via Royal Decree[1] the establishment of Municipal Councils in preparation of the Municipal Assembly election in February 2022. Lady Shannon designed the flag of Dabad and was granted an Earldom in her own right over the council on the same date.
Government and politics
Dabad is administered by the Right Honourable Countess of Dabad, Shannon Brooke on behalf of His Eminence the Sovereign Lord Mayor David Brooke. There is no formal government structure of Dabad, as it exists for the purpose of appointing representation in the Municipal Assembly of Ameristralia.
Citizens of Ameristralia were initially designated to the council for the electoral process. Citizens may choose the council of citizenship when they apply via the Ministry of Immigration and Citizenship.
Law and order
The Constitution of The Sovereign Municipality of Ameristralia and legislation enacted by the Municipal Assembly of Ameristralia is effective in Dabad and other Municipal Councils. The administrator of the council may enact minor regulations that do not violate the constitution or laws of the Municipality.
Geography and climate
Dabad is located northwest of the Victorian capital city of Melbourne. The elevation is three metres above sea level. There are warm, dry summers and mildly cold, dry winters.
