The Estonian Travaman Republic, often shortened to ETR, previously known as the Estonian Socialist Republic is a self-declared independent state located in Northern Europe, enclaved by Estonia. Due to no international recognition, external observers commonly refer to the ETR as a micronation. The capital of the ETR is Travaktonia.
The ETR has faced challenges in recent years due to a shortage of supplies, which has led to citizens leaving the nation and the country being at risk of collapsing. The ETR was previously a member of the Union of Estonian Latvian Socialist Republics.
History
Origins
The Estonian Socialist Republic (ESR) began as a joke, but eventually gained a more serious footing after developing its military capabilities. As its popularity grew in 2021, more people began to join and identification cards were issued.
Decline and Restructuring
The ESR faced a major setback when the country faced a shortage of supplies, prompting citizens to flee to other nations. In response, the government issued a new document making it illegal to leave the country, with offenders facing jail time as punishment.
In early 2022, the republic took steps to purge inactive members and warned citizens about the impending disbanding of the Union of Estonian Latvian Socialist Republics (UELSR), but the warning went largely unnoticed until the UELSR was actually disbanded. The event triggered a small riot, which was quickly suppressed by the ESR military.
Transition to Democracy
On 5 March 2023, ESR began a transition to democracy by implementing more democratic laws and granting more freedom to its citizens. This move led to an increase in the nation's income and the Human Development Index (HDI), with the income rising by about 12% in the trading sector and the HDI increasing by 0.4.
The First Secretary calls 5th of march, 2023 to be the official date when Estonian Socialist Republic had transitioned into a democratic nation after almost 3 years of a Marxist-Leninist one-party system. This decision was made by him, and Prime Minister Andre.
Also, another reason of the nation's shift into a more democratic nation was planned in early 2022, but it was delayed for the next spring instead. The reason behind it is a bit unclear, but it was most likely due to the fact the nation heavily relied on the old soviet military equipment, and a soviet type government. Doing a instant change would have most likely either resulted in a clash, or just a downfall of the military. To this day, some of the military equipment is still not phased out, being mixed in with the newer equipment still.
Since the ending of all wars on 14 March 2023, the ETR has maintained peaceful relations with other nations. Although some tensions between ETR and the Estonian Republic of Kali nearly resulted in a war between the nations, negotiations succeeded in avoiding conflict.
On 20 March 2022, a new flag designed by Jaanus Noormägi was selected for the ETR.
Economical Crisis
During the summer months of 2024 (June-August), ETR faced a few small problems. It could not fund any military equipment anymore. So the First Secretary made a decision to sell 1 infantry vehicle to fund the maintenance of the roads of ETR and also fund the military. This would be a win-win situation for the republic.
For the compensation, the First Secretary promised the military to have a new vehicle introduced into the military, it being a UAZ-496[1].
Politics and government
The Estonian Travaman Republic is a self-proclaimed Unitary Parliamentary Republic, with the Estonian Freedom Party being the only recognized political party in the nation. The party is led by the first secretary Jaanus Noormägi. The Estonian Freedom Party has complete control over the entire parliament and government, thus running the nation.
There also exists the Travaman Democratic Party in the ETR led by Andre, with many plans for the future. However, it remains a relatively small political force in the nation.

State Council
State Council of Estonian Travaman Republic is the parliament of ETV, and is the biggest government organization. It holds 5 seats.
Foreign relations
The ETR has established diplomatic relations with Hasanistan and engaged in negotiations with the Revalian Kingdom. Additionally, the ETR has expressed its support for Ukraine in the Russo-Ukrainian War and has advocated for a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
On November 5, 2022, the Estonian Republic of Kali contacted the ETR, requesting coordinates to initiate a conflict. The ETR declined this request and mobilized its defence forces in response.
Military
ETR maintains a small military force, reportedly consisting of four soldiers. The Marshal of the army is Jaanus Noormägi. The military conducts weekly training sessions focusing on forest and field tactics, emphasizing respect and camaraderie among soldiers and their commanders. The army's equipment includes ATVs, airsoft guns, surplus German military equipment from the 2000s, and Soviet-era gear.
Since March 2023, ETR has increased its military training activities, in response to the potential emergence of new micronations in the Baltic region, which may pose a threat to the nation's security. The ETR military has stated its preparedness to defend the Baltics, excluding certain countries.
Police
ETR maintains a police force consisting of two to three personnel. The limited size of the force is due to constraints in equipment supply. Currently, the police force is semi-active, with one member available for duty.
Fire-fighting force
ETR maintains a fire-fighting service that originates in the ESR era and continues to operate today. Two personnel staff the service, with one member always on standby. Although there have been no actual emergency calls to date, regular training sessions are conducted to ensure readiness. The fire-fighting unit is equipped with two full sets of firefighting gear and a vehicle outfitted with the necessary equipment to respond to emergencies.
Currently, the fire-fighting service continues to operate with plans to potentially sell equipment in the future to fund capital maintenance during winter months.
Economy
Agriculture
Agriculture in the ETR plays a modest role in the national economy, producing items such as hay bales and firewood. Revenue from agricultural activities is typically reinvested into enhancing the sector or supporting national development, including capital improvements. Agriculture is considered one of the most significant economic contributors to the nation.
Geography
The Estonian Travaman Republic is located in Estonia, in Northern Europe. It is enclaved by Estonia and situated slightly off-centre from the geographic centre of the country.
Districts
The Estonian Travaman Republic has only one district: Travaktonia. Travaktonia district includes the capital Travaktonia district of ETR and is the most populous district.
Culture
The culture of the Estonian Travaman Republic is mostly based on the orthodox church and certain aspects of the catholic church. It is also based on old soviet traditions.
