The Second and Current holder of the title is Sebastião, Duke of Flaviano, father of the current Queen Maria, and Head of the Ducal house of Flaviano. The title was created as a "Royal Dukedom". The title was created for the queen's paternal family, which was given no royal status. The first holder of the title was de jure, the queen's maternal grandfather, Oscar Flaviano.
