The Grand Khanate of Sol, more commonly known as Sol or simply referred to as the khanate, is a micronation in Kingman, Arizona. It was established on March 2024 as the successor state to the Democratic States of the Hualapai Union and the Red Rock Socialist Union.

The Khanate of Sol is ruled by a Grand Khan, who rules for life, and has executive powers, however not total power over governance, if in times of wars, the Khan can assume total power.

The nation is not in direct conflict with any nations, and typically is interventionalist in order to keep peace in certain areas which the khan wishes to protect.

Etymology

The Name Sol is derived from the Latin word solem, means the sun and khanate, derived from ancient the Mongol governance structure, which describes a nation ruled by a khan.

History

The start of the Khanate of Sol can be dated back to 12 September 2023 when the Red Rock Socialist Union was established then leaders has slight aspirations for a strongman, but before plans were almost ready, the RRSU was dissolved. Then The Democratic States of the Hualapai Union was formed, which had the Khans' party, but eventually the DSHU was dissolved. Then Christopher Solis, tired of not getting the Khan ruled party that the people willed, created the Khanate of Sol.

Politics and government

The Khanate of Sol adheres to a semi-constitutional Monarchy, and typically aligns center right or center on the political compass.

Khan

The head of state, known typically as the Khan has partial authority over all branches and ministers, being able to propose laws, approve laws, deny laws (can be vetoed with unanimous decision), and total command over the military.

Prime minister

The Head of the Elected Government is known as the prime minister, and exercises control over every single minister, keeping them in check, and acts as the "Vice President" to the khan.

Legislature

The Legislative Branch is under the Justice Ministry's control, and decides laws, rulings, and necessary adjustments to governance with permission from 2/3rds of the kurultai and the Khan.

Law and order

The Nation Adheres Strictly to the UN'S Code of law, and has a Russian style constitution, cementing power of the government.

Ministry of Economy and Finance

The Ministry of Economy and Finance has five Main Leaders, Head Minister, Vice Minister, Minister of Economic Development, Minister of Taxation, and Minister of Banking, and it Officially Manages Economic Affairs both foreign and internal.

Ministry of Internal Affairs

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has 2 Main Leaders and they are referred to as, The Head and Vice Ministers, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has the most power of any of the Ministries, It's Main purpose is to manage Internal affairs that do not adhere to a specific ministry. They also Manage the Other Ministries in order to keep them in check, along with this they manage the police force.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is only led by 1 Leader, referred to as the Head Diplomat whom employs diplomats and manages them, along with managing foreign relations, drafting treaties as in accordance to what the courts, khan, and the kurultai specifies. They also have a special department known as the 'Allied Defense Ministers' and as to regards what they do, they are the ones whom run joint training drills with allied nations. They are required to have previous service as an officer in the military.

Ministry of Justice

The Ministry of Justice has 8 Main Leaders, Head Justice, Vice Justice, and 6 supreme judges, this is the nations main judiciary branch, and manages official rulings and makes sure to keep all other branches in check, they also keep the internal ministry in check.

Ministry of Defense

The Ministry of Defense has 2 Main Leaders, Head and Vice Ministers, these have command over smaller armies, and their respective officers. they also manage transportation of military goods and facilitate the growth of the military industrial complex.

Ministry of Health and Social Welfare

The Ministry of Health and Social Welfare has only 1 main leader, The Head Minister, and manages health aspects of the nation.

Ministry of Education and Culture

The Ministry of Education and Culture has only 1 main leader, The Head Minister And manages Education and Cultural Aspects of the nation.

Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources

The Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources has only 1 main leader, The Head Minister, and managers the environmental standards of companies and keeps track of natural resources.

Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport

The Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport has only 1 main leader, The Head Minister, They manage zoning, surveying, and setting infrastructure in place.

Ministry of Technology and Innovation

The Technology and Innovation has 3 main leaders, The Head Minister, Vice Minister, and Head of Sciences, and heads several projects such as Project Titanfall, a project to make drones, and Project Solstice, a project to make rockets.

Ministry of Energy

The Ministry of Energy has only 1 main leader, The Head Minister, and manages the Power grid of the nation.

The Grand Khanate typically pursues interventionalists policies, keeping nations and people in check in order to keep its goal from being disrupted

Military

The military is under the direct command of the khan. Following the khan, the field marshal has total command of the Air, Navy, and Army, then following the field marshal is the defense ministers, having control over their respective army's. The 5 Main Branches are, Army, Navy, Airforce, Strategic Command, and Rapid Response forces, with the Strategic Command Managing WMDS (Weapons of mass destruction), and the Rapid Response Forces being the countries anti-terrorist, intelligence agency, and cyber command. The Khanate of Sol has a total of 24 soldiers.

Geography and climate

The climate of the Grand Khanate of Sol is arid, with rainfall typically happening in the beginning of the year. The khanate is home to multiple species of cacti including saguaros, barrel cactus. Fauna includes several various species of owl, fruit bats, and mourning doves.

Economy

The economic system of choice for the Khanate of Sol is capitalism, and its official currency is called a sol, named after the nation, recently it has had a economic boom due to adopting the capitalist system and establishing a centralized bank.

Culture

The khanate follows typical Mongolian culture, such as living in yurts. However most do not adhere to that, and stick with their regional culture. However there is a Significant Presence of Turkic, Islamic, and Arab cultures within the sinews of the country.
