The Culver Act, 2024 is an Act of Baustralian Parliament accepting a land grant from Laskaridia and Juniperia, and laying out the terms for its entrance into the Empire.

Contents

Section one lays out the short title for the Act, and section two forms a colony of the incoming land. Section three formed the colonial assembly, and appoints the Marquess Villevoiche of Culver and George Celenic as Lord Governor and Premier, respectively.

Section four requires the colony to assemble a ministry in or before six months from enactment (8 January 2025), to be promoted to Dominion status, and gain parliamentary independence. After six months, if the colony is still attempting to form a ministry, may be provided any number of extensions as required, or the Colonial Assembly be prorogued and the Baustralian Parliament will inherit the governance of the colony.

Section five permits the formation of offices, termed Departments in Culver, for the enforcement of Baustralian law, and provides for the authority to do so. Section six defines the legal system as being handled by Baustralia, and affirms the authority of Baustralian law as statute law within the colony. Section seven provides that defence be handled by the Baustralian Armed Forces.

Chapter 1
An Act to Incorporate a Section of Land from Laskaridia into the Empire of Baustralia as a Colony Thereof and to Enable the Colony to Assemble for the Purposes of Demonstrating to His Most Gracious and Excellent Majesty the King the Ability to Govern and to lay out limitations for the Self-Governance of a Realm of the Baustralian Empire, and for Purposes Connected Therewith

Be it enacted by His Most Gracious and Excellent Majesty the following:-

1. This Act shall be known as the Culver Act, Bill T811, 2024, c. 1.

Land Additions

2. The lands granted to Baustralia from Laskaridia shall be incorporated to form a colony of Culver.

Provisional Government

3. A provisional government for the Colony of Culver shall be assembled, with the Marquess Villevoiche of Culver being appointed Lord Governor, and George Celenic as Premier.
4. The government shall attempt to form a working ministry in or before six months, where a report is made to the House of Lords of Baustralia, by the Governor, on the status of the Colony, and if
1. it is successful, and the Colony is elevated to Dominion status, or,
2. it is unsuccessful, and requires more effort, and must report in another six months, or,
3. it is unsuccessful, and the provisional government will be prorogued.
5. The government shall create offices for the enforcement of Baustralian laws, and all legal authority shall derive from the same.
6. When a permanent government is formed, it will be permitted to have its own autonomous legal system, where Baustralian law will serve as common law, and no longer as statute law.
7. Defence shall remain a matter of the Baustralian Armed Forces. National ensigns, badges, etc. where approved shall be permitted.
