The Qardaishan-Cloudiland Liberation War was a micronational conflict specifically a cyber war (also a cold war) between the two nations of the Grand Sultanate of Qardasha and the Independent Kingdom of Cloudiland. The war was declared on 25 June 2022, which lead to espionage on both sides, attempted attacks, and a failed attempt at peace. The war had one ceasefire on June 25, 2022, but ultimately ended with Qardaishan victory.
Origin
Officially, Qardasha has claimed the war is to liberate Cloudiland from becoming too authoritarian but Qardasha now uses the reason that attempted attacks have happened before the nation did anything. Cloudiland claims that they attacked purely for self defense after receiving misinformation about them plotting an attack against Cloudiland.
Details and background
Before the war officially started, multiple arguments between the two nations raised tensions, and after cloudiland citizens supposedly defected to Qardasha, on June 25, 2022, the nation officially declared war on Cloudiland. What followed was Cloudiland preparing their defenses, as well as removing Ilzat Mikhailov from his position in Cloudiland due to his ties with Qardasha. Cloudiland then sent spies to Qardasha, who then claimed that Qardasha was preparing an attack on Cloudiland. But after the spies were exposed with screenshots emerging showing that a raid was ordered, and the spies were banned Qardasha declared that they will not sue for peace until the total destruction of Cloudiland. Simultaneously, Cloudiland updated Reddit about the war.
The majority of the war was in silence with both sides awaiting each other's next move. The war ultimately ended on 28 June 2022 after Qardasha nuked Cloudiland's discord server early in the morning. The peace treaty demanded that Cloudiland be a constitutional monarchy to prevent Cloudiland to turn into a dictatorship once more. Qardasha has officially claimed that the war was fought for Allograd, an Anti-Cloudi breakaway state.
