The Zealandian Forces (Swedish: Zeelandiens styrkor, Zealandian:Zålandieni Krigimakt) was the defence force of the Commonwealth of Zealandia.
The Zealandian Forces (ZF), was one of the most well developed militarises in New South Wales, excluding the Australian Defence Force.
The ZF was comprised of the Zealandian Forces Office Corps and the Working Class Combat Groups (Swedish: Zeelandiens Arbetarklassens stridsgrupper).

Command Structure

The Chairperson of the Council of State (currently Charlotte Lindstrom) was the commander in chief of the ZF, under her is the Chief of Staff.

Working Class Combat Groups

Outside of MILRED level two or lower, the Zealandian Forces only actively used it's officer corps, in emergency situations and MILRED levels 2 and below the Working Class Combat Groups where activated for the defence of Zealandia.
Working Class Combat Groups comprised of working class peoples trained by the Officer Corps for use as emergency personnel to defend Zealandia, each WCCG had a League of Communists Political Member and attached to a particular unit or component of the Zealandian Forces.

Roundels

The Zealandian Forces employed roundels for use on land vehicles, aircraft and vessels

Disability Policy

The ZF was one of the only defence forces in the world that did not discriminate against potential and current members based on disability.

The Officer Corps had the following ranks in descending order:

  • Marshal of Zealandia
  • General
  • Major General
  • Brigadier
  • Colonel
  • Major
  • Commamnder
  • Officer

Ranks of the Working Class Combat Groups

The Working Class Combat Groups had the following ranks in descending order:

  • Region Controller
  • Unit Controller
  • Squad Leader
  • Deputy Squad Leader
  • Team Leader
  • Deputy Team Leader

History

The ZDF came into being during the Red April Revoultion as the monarchy fell.

MILRED Level

The ZF, MILRED Level short for MILitary REaDiness Level (Swedish:MBN, Militär Beredskapsnivå)is an alert and readiness level used by the ZF, and is set by the Chairperson of the Council of State or in her legal absence or the event of there being no chairperson the Secretary and Deputy Chairperson of the Council.
In MILRED's whole existence there has never been an occasion of MILRED ONE or TWO being activated.

Level Description Explanation
FIVE/FEM Normal Zealandia at peace: no threat detected. ZF on low readiness alert.
FOUR/FYRA Observe Zealandia on security watch: low threat level. Ministry for State Security begins monitoring suspicious actions internally and externally.
THREE/TRE Warning ZF on low warning: moderate threat detected. The ZF is placed on a warning as "low" alerts move into "moderate" alerts, base security tightened.
TWO/TVÅ Alert ZF on alert: high threat level. The ZF begins activation of the Working Class Combat Groups
ONE/ETT Attack ZF Mobilised: extreme threat level, possible breach of Zealandian borders. The ZF is placed on high alert and is mobilised. Borders are in lock-down.

Safe base level

The ZF also has simplified base security statuses, set by the chief of staff.

  • Charlie: Normal Security
  • Bravo: Tightened Security
  • Alpha: Lock-down
  • Alpha Alpha: War Footing
  • Echo: Evacuate base
