The Imperial Tribune (The Tribune; abbreviated IT) is a Romaean print and online newspaper based in Hagiopolis, with an additional office in the Kingdom of Mouzilo and a worldwide readership. Founded in 2013, the Tribune is the premier English-language news platform in Rhomania, as well as the oldest and most read news outlet of the nation, followed by its Greek-language sister newspaper, the Tilegrafos.

Initially the newspaper of government announcements, the Tribune has recently evolved into a platform of opinion and original reporting not only in Rhomania, but the wider Greek sector. Articles by the newspaper have influenced policies in other Greek nations and sparked discussions over a variety of subjects. The newspaper is currently owned by the Roman News Agency.

History

The Tribune was founded as the Mouzeliot Tribune in late 2012, shortly after Mouzilo had transitioned from a Kingdom to an Empire. The small blog was hosted at the Blogger platform, before migrating to WordPress.com and shifting to the current name in May that year. The website was to be found at theimperialtribune.wordpress.com (still available for historical purposes) and retained its name even during the Republican Era of Mouzilo (December 2013 - October 2014).

Though initially very active in terms of reporting, the frequency of articles started declining after the second trimester of 2014. Between May 2014 and July 2020 the Tribune remained completely inactive, with its staff migrating to the Ashukov Faces magazine and to a lesser extent to the Ashukovski Vesti.

With the change of regime in Mouzilo and the refoundation as Rhomania, in July 2020 the Tribune was revived, and for a couple of months maintained the already extant WordPress.com site. In November that year the Tribune finally moved to its own self-hosted website at e-tribune.ml, with a mirror hosted at the government's rhomania.ga domain at e-tribune.rhomania.ga.

A year later, in November 2021, server failure caused the self-hosted website to shut down. It was revived 2 months later, accessible through the new domain at itribune-rh.ga. The mirror hosted at the government's domain was also shut down. The server failure caused all articles written thoughought the existence of e-tribune.ml to vanish.

Tilegrafos

The Tilegrafos (Greek: Τηλέγραφος, Telegraph) is the sister Greek-language online newspaper of the Tribune. It is mainly aimed at the Greek sector and, to a limited extent, to Greek-speaking citizens of Rhomania. Compared to the Tribune, the Tilegrafos publishes much fewer articles. It is hosted withing the Tribune's website. The language Tilegrafos uses is standard Romaean Greek, which differs in a significant way from contemporary standard modern Greek.
