Controversies

Following the start of the series, series creator and showrunner Charles Madgett stated that the series would become a miniseries, rather than a full fledged series like most modern shows. This is because of the inability to record often. There have been 4 seasons ordered and 3 episodes per season so far as of Season Two.

It's also been stated by Madgett and ACBIC that the series would be distributed by Firefly when their service is launched. They also made the massive announcement that this miniseries would take the stage until it was over, then they would focus on Alternating Worlds and Martian Times, the announcement was made months before Martian Time's release, though Martian Times was released before the premiere of Season Two. This caused a small group of fans to go into an upset until it was reiterated that it would not mean no films would be released before. The announcement purely stated that the series would be the front of production's schedule until Season One was over. After Season One, Martian Times was released. Madgett later stated Alternating Worlds would be released sometime in between Seasons 2 and 3, before the big lore in the miniseries takes place, however the End Times movie adaptation would be released after Season 4, which meant that the time between Seasons 3 and 4 would not be filled by a movie.

After the announcement regarding the End Times movie adaptation, it was stated that The End and End Times would hence fourth become two series in a franchise titles The End Times, a merge of both names. This also caused a small upset from 2 fans, who did eventually get over it. It was then reiterated that this would allow the franchise and series' to branch out and experiment more.

After the franchise announcement, the End Times movie was then declared the first and only movie in the End Times film series, which also implied that the End Times series would be over after the movie. It was also stated that this would be the end of End Times as a film series following the release of Alternating Worlds. It was then announced that Alternating Worlds would bring a new era, as Madgett stated that the ending of the film would "set up a whole new universe, or universes."
