Talk:MicroWikia
Suggested name change
MicroWikia → MicroWiki (Wikia farm)
"MicroWiki" is the official name of micronations.wikia.com, and the designation of it with a different name by this site has been accused of bias. However, our manual of style states that - although we should of course aim to avoid bias - articles should be titled with the name that their subject is most commonly known by. In this case, micronations.wikia.com is almost universally known as MicroWikia amongst the usership of this wiki, and usually referred to as such by the wider micronational community when needing to be distinguished from mw.micronation.org, which is almost always what is referred to by "MicroWiki" when that term is used in the wider micronational community. I'm personally against this move for those reasons, but I believe that this issue merits a serious discussion, and so I open this move up to discussion and voting.

- I'd predicted this would never be a popular proposal. However, some discussion would be nice. Austenasia (talk) 16:22, 23 April 2015 (BST)
- OPPOSE: We've known it as MicroWikia for over four years now, and even MicroWikia users have referred to it as such. Leave it as-is, I say. DA • Atomic Age • Telegraph • BantramTM 01:29, 24 April 2015 (BST)
