Social Democrat Party (Hilltop)
The Social Democrats of Hilltop are the current ruling party of the Kingdom of Hilltop, a sub-national area of the United Royal Republic of Englica. They lean to the centre-left and advocates workers rights and a large government. The Social Democrats are known for being staunchly pro-Max I and anti-Jackobite. They are led by Queen Mother Donna, Duchess of Tarrant, who is District Minister of Hilltop and mother of King Max and their Deputy Leader is Princess Lynn, Countess of Wincanton

History
The Social Democrats have been the dominant party of the Kingdom of Hilltop since it was established in 2019, only having lost their majority in Parliament once, when Charlotte Young defected to the Hilltop Salvation Party due to the parties rejection of Max I's Biblical Bill, but they regained their majority days later when Princess Lisa, Countess of Stourpaine, who had previously been a Jackobite Party member, joined their party.
In the 2019, 2020 and 2021 Hilltop general elections, the Social Democrats won majorities each time, despite a strong Jackobite voter base in 2021.
Despite their general support of Max I, they have opposed him on several occasions, such as when he instituted the Biblical Bill, which made The Bible law, but the party quickly came to an agreement which involved some parts of the Bible not being used as law.
