Shawn West is an American-Elarian micronational politician from Louisiana of the United States while also being a citizen of the Empire of Ela'r'oech. He is most known for his work as the Chancellor of Ela'r'oech after winning the Elarian federal elections in November 2022.
Micronational career
Political views
In his political debates, West gave some political views and the intentions of his administration, which would officially be in office on 23 November 2022.
In his first debate, West stated that the state of the economy following the recession was undesired. Additionally, he explained his plans to help solve the recession by artificially inflating the employment rates of the nation, specifically for the Elarian company ACBIC.
In his second debate, West's firm stance included opening more businesses and giving them oversight into the GDP of the nation and also suggested that the nation and the national treasury should mint the Dimae more efficiently. West also stated that the Empire should seek trade relations with Pontunia, letting the nation join the Elarian Trade Union after the 2022 Bayou recession and the Dimae has increased in value. He also stated that he believed nuclear power should be invested in and researched. He stated that he believed it should be used for peaceful use. He firmly made his stance of no weaponization of nuclear capabilities in the debate's final moments.
West Administration
As Acting Chancellor
West was elected Chancellor of Ela'r'oech in November 2022. He was appointed as Acting Chancellor on 23 November of the same year. That same day, his administration announced the Bond Act of 2023, an act establishing that treasury bonds exist. West himself also announced the major breakthrough that the owner for the Bank of Dimae had embezzled a mass amount of Dimae. West would then say - in this same statement - that this was the likely reason behind the 2022 Bayou recession. His administration has also encouraged Elarian citizens to start businesses to help 'combat' the recession.
It has come to my attention that the cause of the recession is likely due to the bank of Dimae. The owner was embezzling money from our micronation. This proved his disrespect towards our home. Disrespect is the one thing I will not allow in this community. So please if anybody has any information on how he did it and possibly with who he did it with, we will have a better and safer community. We will continue to investigate this matter slowly and thoroughly, just know I will get it done, and thank you for your time.

As Chancellor
West was officially inaugurated on 29 November 2022 in the Doyle territory surrounded by Elarians in the seats. The same day, he received a 10,000 Dimae Treasury Bond and swore upon the Holy Bible. He would prove to be a supporter of the expansion of Elarian culture, as someone who did express enthusiasm over Ranaism.
On 1 December 2022, West would disavow the Neo-Knights of Ela'r'oech and Neo-Carolusianism as an ideology, while also expressing approval for the idea of the Elarian ethnicity and the expansion of territory for the Empire.
