History
Earthquake Branch Founded
On 23 November, 2018, President Cooper Norfolk, who is the CEO of the Seybold Weather Service, decided to expand the service of the SWS by adding another branch. With this new branch, he would create another natural tracking service. He decided to choose between Earthquake tracking, Tsunami tracking, and Hurricane Tracking. He crossed out Tsunami tracking very fast, as Tsunamis’ occur no where near the Democratic Republic of Seybold. He crossed out hurricanes, for now, because the hurricane season has ended, but he does want to track hurricanes in the future, leaving him with Earthquake tracking. He liked the idea of Earthquake tracking. It could inform citizens of the Democratic Republic of Seybold about Earthquakes in a certain area they were looking to travel. To keep record of all of the Earthquakes in the world, SWS created a tracking book, which allows employees to write down information about an Earthquake. The information that could be written down is the date, time, coordinates, tectonic plate, the depth, and if it is on a Fault line or if it is not on one. The Earthquake tracking branch will officially be called the Seybold Earthquake Tracking Service, abbreviated as SETS. A physical branch of the SWS Headquarters has not been created for the SETS, but it will definitly happen soon. The SETS will start tracking Earthquakes on the morning of 24 November 2018 at 6 A.M. UTC-5.
Flood Branch Founded
On 3 February 2019, President Cooper Norfolk, who is the current CEO of the Seybold Weather Service, decided to expand the service of the SWS by adding another branch. With this new branch, he would create another natural tracking service. He decided to choose between Flood tracking and Hurricane Tracking, which he is planning to establish. He crossed out Hurricane tracking first, as he claimed that quote, “the Democratic Republic of Seybold is not ready for something of that large proportion”. So, he ended up with Flood tracking, which is still very important in the Democratic Republic of Seybold, which somewhat close to a river that often floods. He liked the idea of Flood tracking since it allows citizens to know if they will have to protect their property flood damage or evacuate due to a flood. To keep a record of all flood warnings in the Democratic Republic of Seybold, President Cooper Norfolk has created a notebook to track each warning and they will be giving a report on the Seybold Today newspaper. The information that could be written down is the date, time, Type of Warning, severity, and when the alert ends. The Flood tracking branch will officially be called the Seybold Flood Service, abbreviated as SFS. A physical branch of the SWS Headquarters has not been created for the SFS, but it will definitely happen soon.
