Red belt (Georgienstine)
Red Belt, is a term coined by Sean Dunkerque and used by political pundits to refer to 3 Georgienstinian states (originally Marksburg, Nassau and Augustine) that the Free Democrats (and predecessor parties) do well in, in presidential, gubernatorial and congressional elections. The Red Belt has since shifted north to Salem, with Augustine gradually becoming more of a tossup.
Red represents the colour of the Socialist Labour Party, which has dissolved. Most politicians from the region, who are not in Georgienstine First, are nicknamed red belt politicians.
States behind the red belt
The red belt now consists of the states of Marksburg, Nassau, Salem, and formerly Augustine. All four states were won by Benjamin Pickles in the second round of the presidential election, at the exception of Augustine, which was tied. All of the governors of the current and former Red Belt states are affilitated with Georgienstine First, however the governors of the states of Nassau, Marksburg, and Augustine (Sean Dunkerque, Roy Jackson, and Jean Jeannienne respectively) are all former members of the Socialist Labour Party.

Criticism
GNC political analyst Raphaël Olivier has argued that New Progressive elected officials from the red belt get elected due to bipartisan support from Federalist Party (and predecessor parties) supporters. Benjamin Pickles lost all three states in the first round of the presidential election but won all three in the second round, following endorsements from Liberal presidential candidate Azerianus Severanus and Farmer-Labour candidate Renzo Wessels.
Brown belt
"Brown Belt" is a term invented by Raphaël Olivier to refer to 2 former Georgienstinian states (Drayton and Georgopol, now merged into Draytopol) that Georgienstine First constantly win in, in presidential, gubernatorial and congressional elections. Both states do not border each other but are considered a region as they are the sole two states which do not border the mainland.
Brown represents the colour of Georgienstine First, despite the party's logo being more of a dark red.
