New Regensburg was an Free Imperial City of the Holy Canadian Empire, and the permanent seat of the Imperial Diet. Consisting of a small residential property located within the boundaries of the Canadian city of Victoria, New Regensburg was founded upon the declaration of the empire's independence in early 2021, and was granted immediacy soon afterwards.
The Holy Canadian Empire had no fixed capital, with the emperor typically conducting affairs of state from whichever location he happened to be in at the time, which was usually the Archduchy of Glacia. However, New Regensburg was essentially a de facto capital due to its centralized authority and symbolic importance.
