Nekonesia (Chinese:貓貓尼西亞) is a micronation and city-state in East Asia. It is located in the lower reaches of the Pearl River. It borders the People's Republic of China in the east and north, Hong Kong in the south, and faces Guangzhou, Zhuhai and other western Pearl River Delta cities in China across the Pearl River in the west. The territory controlled by Nekonesia consists of three states, one district and several islands, with a total area of 419 square kilometres. It is a small and densely populated country with a permanent population of 4.7 million. The capital of Nekonesia is Ta Chi Leng.
Nekonesia is a democratic republic with directorial system. The head of state in Nekonesia is all members of the Federal Council, not the federal president or any other specific person. Nekonesia is influenced by Hong Kong and uses two official scripts (Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese) within the jurisdiction. Nekonesia has excellent performance in economic competitiveness, innovation, gender equality and LGBT rights protection. It is one of the most ethnically diverse and culturally diverse countries in the world, and a product of internet social media. Nekonesia's long-term and complex relationship with the micronation communities of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan has had a significant impact on Nekonesia's history, economy and culture.
Nekonesia can be regarded as a developed country in terms of development level. Its per capita nominal income is at a relatively high level in mainland China and its economy is developed. It mainly relies on abundant resources and developed social networks to rank among the top countries. Nekonesia is a member of several international organizations and forums.
