The Biyou Land incident, means that after Bilibili occupied the Kichi border area and held activities, fierce online and offline conflicts broke out in various parts of Kichi. In the end, Bilibili was forced to open the border of the occupied area. This incident is generally considered to be an escalation of the conflict between Kichi and vtuber following the 3.31 Conflict.

Background

Joint Statement by Kichi

After the 3.31 Conflict, Kichi promulgated the "Vtuber Act", which legally completely prohibited the spread of Vtuber in Kichi. The time came to February 16, when Bilibili announced on February 17 that it will hold the "Biyou Land" event in Huaqiangbei, and the location is close to the border of Huaqiangbei State in Kichi. After Bilibili announced that it would hold the event, Kichi’s government, Huaguoshan, and the National Army jointly issued a statement of condemnation, demanding that Bilibili immediately stop activities that endanger Kichi’s border security. Bilibili ignored Kichi's request,The event started at 17:00 on February 17.

Investigative operations

Orange Line: Until March 6, the military demarcation line between Kichi and Bilibili.
Red Line: The dividing line between Kichi and China before this Incident.
Yellow line: The dividing line between Bilibili and other regions in China.

In the evening after the event, the Kichi National Army announced that it would launch a series of boycott operations on the Huaqiangbei border. The next day, the national army arrived at the border of Huaqiang Beizhou and took photos.
After the investigation, the national army found that Bilibili unilaterally surrounded the entire border of Huaqiangbei State and established an occupied area. This behavior angered the Kichi government. The government announced in secret that the boycott began on February 25.

Escalation

On February 22, Bilibili announced that from the evening of February 22 to February 26, there will be a special vtuber screening every night in the occupied area, and reminded that there will be a vtuber interactive event on February 25. Bilibili’s actions caused Kichi to issue a statement condemning it, and Kichi also stated in the statement, “If you ignore Kichi’s request and hold further activities on February 25, Kichi will take necessary measures, and all consequences will be borne by bilibili and the vtubers forces. Be responsible.” The actions of both parties in the incident led to the tension of the situation to the extreme.

Outbreak

Suspected dissidents push people off stage

On the evening of February 25, Bilibili’s activities in the occupied area were held as scheduled, and Kichi’s national army was closely monitoring outside the occupied area. In the middle of the event, some suspected dissidents tried to start a riot (throwing others down on the stage) to hasten the end of the event, but they were suppressed. Some kichians protested outside the occupied area. Their protest worked. Halfway through the event, Bilibili opened some of the borders of the occupied area. After the event, Bilibili opened all the borders. Because Bilibili suddenly opened the border of the occupied area to compromise in the event,Kichi's National Army did not intervene armed.
