The National People's Party (ARNP), or the Arlandican National People's Party for Monarchist and Democratic Values (Filipino: Partido Nasyonalista ng Arlandika para sa Monarkiya at Demokratikong Prinsipyo), is the sole ruling party of the Kingdom of Arlandica. Founded on April 4, 2024, it was established by Benz Gian Arellano, the current party leader and the President of the Parliament of Arlandica, and Jerold I, the reigning King of Arlandica. Officially, the ARNP is guided by the Arlandican nationalism and its principles.

History

On April 4, 2024, the charter of the National People's Party was signed by Benz Gian Arellano and witnessed by King Jerold I. It became the first political party of Arlandica since the process of decommunization following the fall of the United Arland Communist Party and the Republican Movement during the 2020-2022 Internal Conflict.

According to the constitution, Arlandica is supposed to be a multi-party state. However, the ARNP emerged as the sole majority party in the country, resulting in a dominant-party system. Its establishment marks the end of the non-partisan system.

Ideology

The ARNP maintains a right-wing image and serves as the central front for Arlandican politicians and citizens who advocate for policies grounded in the values of Arlandican nationalism, conservatism, and democracy, while promoting an environment conducive to economic freedom and prosperity within a system of libertarian capitalism. Members of the party strongly oppose communism.

The ARNP is believed to initiate propaganda posters.

One of its objectives is to enact legislation and create projects aimed at progress, ensuring justice, and enhancing the well-being of all citizens.

Charter

The Charter of the National People's Party, enacted at the party's establishment, consists of 8 articles and 52 sections, totaling 1,507 words. Its contents describe the party's program, ideologies, and interests, as well as its organizational structure and party symbolism.

It was authored by both Jerold I and Benz Gian Arellano, he ratified and signed on April 4, 2024.

Organization

Party Leader

The Party Leader, officially known as the Leader of the National People's Party, serves as the chief executive officer of the party. The Party Leader has a one-year term, which is renewable. Their responsibilities include providing leadership, direction, and guidance to party members, as well as representing the party in official capacities such as parliamentary sessions, public appearances, and interactions with other political parties.

The Plenary

The Plenary is the main governing body of the party, headed by the Party Leader and composed of all party members. It conducts meetings as deemed necessary to discuss party matters, formulate policies, and make decisions.

Most interactions between party members are held online, particularly through Facebook Messenger, especially before or after meetings in the Arlandican Parliament.

Youth wing

The Youth for Progress is the youth and children's wing of the party, aimed at providing a platform for junior members (aged 16 and below) to engage in political discourse, leadership development, and community involvement. It is headed by the Youth for Progress Leader appointed by the Party Leader. While not a separate organization, the Youth for Progress serves as a collective grouping for junior members.

Membership

Membership in the party is open exclusively to Arlandican citizens. Applications for membership are submitted via an application form, which is directly sent to the Party Leader or authorized individuals for approval or rejection.

It has been confirmed that the majority of Arlandican citizens (unspecified number), including politicians and Civil Guard commanders, are affiliated with the party.
