The Minister of Defence is a Cabinet Minister in HM's Government of Wellmoore with overall responsibility for the business of the Ministry of Defence.
History
Founded on 14 March 2020 by Royal Decree with the founding of the Minister of Defence.
Responsibilities
The Minister of Defence's duties and responsibility includes:
- Strategic military and defensive operations.
- The postholder is a member of the National Security Council, and chair of the Defence Council, to which the monarch has given the power to command the Armed Forces.
- Oversight of Defence Intelligence.
- Communications on defence.
The Minister of Defence is also advised on course of action by the Chief of Defence Staff and the Chiefs of Staff Committee.
