Multiple contests in micronationalism have either actively called themselves World Chess Championships of micronationalism, or have conducted themselves for the purpose of deciding a world micronational chess champion. Those contests include:
- the 2010 Intermicronational Chess Championship;
- the 2012 Micronational Chess Championship;
- the 2013 Micronational World Chess Championship;
- the 2014 Micronational World Chess Championship, a proposed event by the Inter-Micronational Chess Federation which did not take place;
- the 2023 Micronational World Chess Championship, a proposed event by the World Micronational Chess Federation which is scheduled to take place in December of 2023.
