The 2019 Luxe Parliametary Elections Were the first elections following the new parliamentary system.

History

Until 2018, the Republic of Luxe operated under a parliamentary form of government characterized by a cabinet comprising three key roles: the president, the prime minister, and the national secretary. However, a significant shift occurred following the reforms spearheaded by President Luca Mirante at the end of 2018. This marked a transformative period in Luxe's governance structure as the nation completed its transition from a parliamentary to a presidential form of government. Under the revised system, the role of the president took on heightened significance, becoming a central figure in Luxe's political framework. The reforms aimed to streamline decision-making processes and consolidate executive authority under the presidency. This shift reflected a conscious effort to adapt Luxe's governance model to changing circumstances and enhance the efficiency of the government. As a result, the cabinet's composition and responsibilities were likely redefined, with a concentration of power in the hands of the president. The move towards a presidential form of government signaled a departure from the previous parliamentary dynamics, ushering in a new era of governance for the Republic of Luxe.
