The King's Privy Council for New Shropshire, or simply the Privy Council, is the primary executive management organ of New Shropshire.
It is formally an advisory body for the King, and thus his delegate in the Governor, and does not have any separate powers of its own.
Membership
The Privy Council consists of:
- The Governor
- The Vice-Governor
- All heads of government offices
- The Speaker of the New Shropshire Assembly
- The heads of the Royal New Shropshire Navy and the Royal New Shropshire Regiment
- Any other inducted persons
Membership is normally tied to the office, rather than for life as is the case with other Privy Councils.
Committees
The Privy Council has several Committees, serving important executive functions.
Cabinet Committee
This is the main executive of New Shropshire. It includes:
- The Governor and Vice-Governor
- All heads of civil service offices
Judicial Committee
The Judicial Committee of the Privy Council serves as New Shropshire's only court, as of 2023. It is open for all Privy Counsellors to sit in.
War Committee
The War Committee is the primary governing organ for the New Shropshire military. It includes:
- The Governor and Vice-Governor
- The Secretaries for War and the Interior, and the Secretary of State
- Senior military command
