Japitt Group Ltd. (stylised as JPT Group) is a Badu Parkian venture capital conglomerate founded by Hugh Jacobs and Peter Stolle in January 2021. The company derives its name from Japitty Cumquat, however both Jacobs and Stolle have stated that it is also an acronym for 'Jacob's associates in training, Toowoomba'. It is now state owned by the government of Badu Park and managed by the Badu Park Government Asset Management Division, however Japitty Cumquat maintains the company is a private firm and not associated with Badu Park in any way. Japitt Group is the only company legally registered to operate in Badu Park. While being state owned, approximately 30% of the company has been registered in the Badu Park People's Stock Exchange, with 1 share costing approximately AU$3, or 13 million Badu Park Ruby, which is unaffordable for the typical Badu Park citizen, which is intentional, being designed to encourage external foreign investment to grow the Badu Parkian economy, alongside tourism.
History
Japitt Group was founded in January 2021 by two recent business school graduates Hugh Jacobs and Peter Stolle as Nexus CDs & Records. The company, as the name implies, was a small record shop selling mainly used CDs and Records, based in the Sydney suburb of Newtown. A week after its foundation Hugh Jacobs began to look for investors to help their business expand, which ultimately led him to the other Sydney suburb of Annandale, where he came in contact with a man named Japitty Cumquat. Jacobs quickly became fascinated with Japitty, but was punched in the face for 'illegal immigration into Badu Park'. Hugh Jacobs applied for citizenship quickly after and was granted it by a 'taxation loophole'. Jacobs soon invited his business partner, Peter Stolle to meet Japitty (who was also promptly punched in the face), with Stolle soon after applying for citizenship. Both men then promptly asked Japitty Cumquat to invest in their business, to which Japitty said 'yes but only if the company becomes the property of Badu Park and excel it to greatness'. After this the two men promptly renamed there shop to Japitt CDs. The company soon became the national finance company of Badu Park and began to expand into other business ventures.
