IFFA Rankings

The IFFA Rankings is a ranking of national futsal teams affilated with IFFA, published monthly by the IFFA. The Rankings were first published on 20 July 2016.

Formula

The Rankings are based on the FIFA World Rankings; though Micronations can still gain points even if they don't play another micronation. The Formula is Match x Importance x Confederation Strength.

• Match
  • 3 points for a win
  • 2 points for a win on penalties
  • 1 point for a draw or a loss on penalties
  • 0 points for a loss
• Importance
  • 5 points for a IFFA Cup, MFA World Cup, VIVA World Cup, ConIFA World Football Cup or Island Games match
  • 4 points for a IFFA Regional Tournament (ie the IFFA Eurasia Cup)
  • 1 point for a friendly
• Confederation Strength
  • 1.5 points if opponent is affiliated to FIFA
  • 1 point if opponent is affiliated to the MFA, IGA, ConIFA or the NF-Board
  • 0.85 points if opponent is affiliated to the IFFA
  • 0.8 points if opponent is not affiliated to any of the above organisations

After this, a match's points for a team may be downgraded after one year:

• Points are downgraded for 25% every 12 months of the member's membership.
