The Most Serene House of Ballister (Portuguese: Sereníssima Casa de Ballister, Eintrachtian: Serenynes Hausen da Ballestella), also known as the Ballisterian Dynasty (dinastia Ballistellia), is a royal house mainly set in Eintrachtia and its domains, it reigned in Europe, Antarctica, Oceania, Africa, Asia and North America. It started as the House of Ballister that got its name from Ballistelliburg, a claimed territory of the Empire of Eintracia located in Antarctica.
Founded in 2017 as the House of Ballister by King John after proclaiming the Penguins Republic, which later extended to the Eintracian Empire which was when it became the largest extent of influence of the House since its establishment. In June 2023, after the Ninth of June incident, King John wanted to reform the royal house and to open up Eintrachtia after its one year long semi-isolation.
History
The House of Ballister was established in 2017 following the proclaimation of the State of the Penguins. The name "Ballister" was chosen to represent the new dynasty, which was taken from "Ballistelliburg", the first ever established territory in Antarctica in the recorded history of Eintrachtia. In addition, the name "Ballistelliburg" originated from "Ball", a name given to Penguin B. Ballister, the first Chancellor of Eintrachtia around 2012 which later became its middle name.
During the period 2017 and 2020, the House of Ballister saw the expansion of Imperial Eintracia, discovery of the micronational community, gradual decline of the Empire and then the Concorde Revolution in 2021.
Concorde Revolution and the Ninth of June regime
The role of the royal court during the Concorde Revolution of 2021 was complicated as the civil revolution targeted the imperial government and its foreign policies. The King supported the revolution and the parliament was in favour of changing the constitution as a result of his effort. However, even though most members of the royal house was in favour of the change, some members held significant roles in the parliament which halted their decisions to support the opposition.
On 9 June 2023, an interim Chancellor who was a member of the National Party was elected by parliament to temporarily replace acting Chancellor Penguin Ballister. The new Chancellor, who largely advocated for Eintrachtian nationalism and the annexation of Cyrance, installed a corporatist regime headed by himself and his personally appointed cabinet, mostly occupied by other members of the far-right faction of the National Party. The King, after being informed of the situation, enacted the constitution and declared the dissolution of parliament and renounced the rights of the Chancellery, effectively installing martial law in the monarchy. The government was re-established several hours after the incident. This became the first time ever, and the only time parliament was dissolved by the monarch.
