The Governorate of Galvegia is a Governorate of the Kingdom of Fontasia. Its capital is the city of Vorogo. Unlike most Fontasian territories, it is located on the island of Ireland within Galway city. It is currently the only Fontasian Governorate outside of North America and remains the only Assemblian-colonized micronational territory to be invaded by a foreign micronational power. The current population of the Governorate is 3.
Galvegia has a drastic cultural difference with North American Fontasian territories, due to its distance from the Americas. It is the only Fontasian Governorate with Irish being a major native language. It is the easternmost Fontasian territory as well.
Brief History
The region of Galvegia was originally inhabited most probably by Östruckans, who settled directly south of the area in modern Henstein.
The Kingdom of Fontasia was granted the territory by the Republic of Roscamistan on 9 September 2022, in order to allow Fontasia to become a Galway Sector member state. Around a month later, on 23 October the Empire of Östruck caught word of the Kingdom of Fontasia possessing territories directly north of them, and preemptively attacker the border regions of the territory and within 30 minutes captured the capital of Vorogo. For around six hours, Galvegia was controlled by the Östruckan Islamic terrorist organization Allah's Spirit. Upon request of the King of Fontasia, Ballinfoylish Army recaptured the region from Allah's Spirit for Fontasia.
The Kingdom of Fontasia and Allah's Spirit agreed for the annexation of a southern part of the territory to be annexed into Östruck. The Fontasian government and allies viewed this as an embarassing failure of the Kingdom of Fontasia in defending its own territory, and argued for the Fontasian government to abandon the territory completely.
Three months after its annexation, Galvegia replaced Mappal as the 13th Fontasian Governorate.
Government
The government of Galvegia is notoriously known for being staunchly pro-Ergatist, with many Fontasian Ergatist politicians coming from the Governorate. The first Governor of Galvegia was Thomas Jacobs, Director of the Ergatist Party of Fontasia.

Geography
Galvegia is known for its dense forests and open fields, and an abandoned mine to its northern border. It is directly north of the Ostruckan capital of Henstein.
Culture
Galvegian culture is extremely different to mainstream Fontasian culture, with it being isolated to Ireland. Galvegian culture reflects a mixture of Ballinfoylish, Ostruckan and Roscami culture, as well as overall Irish culture.
