The German Reich of Mednyat (German: Deutsch Reich von Mednyat) was a micronation based in Mednyi Island (Kamchatcha) and Pripyat (ukrainian ghost city).
It was a member of the Organization of Asian Micronations and of the United Micronations.
Etymology
The name Mednyat comes by mix of name of the Island of the territory,called Mednyi,and of name of Pripyat,the other part of the national territory.
The name German Reich,instead,comes by the national language (German) and by the kind of government (Reich,german word for Empire).
This micronation haven't any claiming with the various entities (past,actual and future) in the actual Germany.
History
In 19 November 2014,Kaiser Fabrizio I of Mednyi announced the born of the "German Reich of Mednyi".
The capital is Mednyi,located in the same place of former russian city "Preobrazhenskoye",abandoned in 1970 by all the citizens,and definitely in 2001 also by governative teams.
Kaiser also proclamated german as national language.
Still in 19 November 2014,the government formalized diplomatic relationships and mutual recognitions with Organization of Asian Micronations,People's Republic of Hashima and United Micronations.
In 21 November 2014,the German Reich of Mednyi signed a treaty of mutual recognition and diplomatic relationships with the Kingdom of Ruthenia.
In 24 November 2014,the German Reich of Mednyi signed a treaty of mutual recognition with the Principality of Imvrassia.
In 25 November 2014,the Kaiser announced the claiming of annexation of the city of Pripyat,an ukrainian ghost city,famous for the Chernobyl disaster in 26 april 1986.
The Kaiser with the National Parliament proclamated an extraordinary session of the Parliament,and afther this session was decided to change the national denomination of "German Reich of Mednyi" into "German Reich of Mednyat",mixing Mednyi and Pripyat.National flag and coat of arms remained and the capital moved from Mednyi to Pripyat.
In 26 November 2014,the German Reich of Mednyat signed a treaty of mutual recognition and diplomatic relationships with the Grand Duchy of Prussia.
In the same day,the Kaiser Fabrizio I announced his intention to abdicate, with effect from 1 December 2014, in favor of his son, the current Prince Umberto I of Mednyat.
The Parliament in extraordinary meeting accepted the decision, and the prince accepted the succession, which will happen officially in 1 December 2014.
In 27 November 2014,the German Reich of Mednyat signed a treaty of mutual recognition and diplomatic relationships with the Socialist Union of the Wakatipu.
In the same date,the Prince Umberto I of Mednyat (as lieutenant of the Reich),announced the claiming of Chernobyl and other parts of upper Ukraine,near to borders with Belarus.
This new claiming,in addiction with Pripyat,cover an area of 1.723,14 km².
The Prince also announced that when he will start his reign,in 1 December 2014,the Micronation will officially change name into "Principality of Pripyat",and that his kind of government will remain an absolute monarchy,just changing his title from Emperor (Kaiser) to Prince.National language also will change,from german to italian.
The parliament voted positively about this decision,and the population approved and celebrated this important decision.
The island of Mednyi,because its remote position and because the will of Prince Umberto I,will not be more part of the national territory.
Still in 27 November 2014,the German Reich of Mednyat signed a treaty of mutual recognition and diplomatic relationships with the Empire of Mars.
30 December 2014 was the last day of the micronation,the Kaiser Fabrizio I signed all the documentation about the official end of the micronation,and about its official abdication with effect from the day after.The German Reich of Mednyi then was official disgregate,and the Prince Umberto I end to sign new documentation about the new micronation,called "Principality of Pripyat'" (italian: Principato di Pripyat'),that because the not more claiming of Mednyi Island will not be a perfect continuing of the German Reich of Mednyi,but will be founded as a new Micronation.
In 3 March 205,Mednyi Island mergered with Devon Island,Kadykčan,Principality of Pripyat' and Rasshua,for create the Great Empire of Dikameppra.
Geography
The island of Mednyi is 56 km long and between 5 and 7 km wide and its area is 186 km². Its maximum elevation is 640m.
About 100 meters off the northwestern end of the islands are the Beaver Stones,two islets connected by an isthmus,with a combined length of 1 km.
About Pripyat,the territory of the city have an area of 6,59 km².
Climate
Weather in Mednyi Island is caratherized by winters with temperatures that hardly drop below -3.3 °C -3,5 °C,and fresh summers,with temperature that hardly exceed 9.1 °C 10.6 °C.
Average normal precipitations vary between 6mm of june and 25mm of december.
About Pripyat,the radiation levels range between 15-300 micro-roentgen per hour, so aren't lethal (for a lethal dose it takes between 300-500 micro-roentgen per hour).
Weather in Pripyat is caratherized by temperatures in a range from -7.1 °C of january (coldest month) until 18.7 °C of july (hottest month).

Transports
In Mednyi Island there was just some unpaved streets,mostly not easily usable.
In Pripyat streets was almost completely praticable (also if somewhere plant roots protrude from the asphalt).
For can arrive into Mednyi Island from seaway,was possible to take a ferry boat from the russian city of Petropavlovsk.
For can arrive into Pripyat was possible to take a bus from the ukrainian city of Kiev.

Economy
The economy of the German Reich of Mednyat was managed by the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development.
The Reichsbank of Mednyi (German: Reichsbank von Mednyat) was responsible for the emission of the national currency,called "Reichsmark of Mednyat" (German: Reichsmark von Mednyat).
About salaries,in the German Reich of Mednyat all kind of salaries (except for the Royal Family) cannot exceed 500 Reichsmark of Mednyat per month.
The main activity in the German Reich of Mednyat was fishing.
Politic
The head of State was Kaiser "Fabrizio I of Mednyat".
He was the head of the Royal House of Mednyi.
Within the German Reich of Mednyat,the National Parliament (German: Nationalparlament) represented the government of the Reich.
It had two branches,called Council and Senate.Both had 26 members,and both was appointed after a popular election.
13 members of Council and 13 members of Senate represented Mednyi Island,the other 13 members of Council and the other 13 members of Senate represented Pripyat.
In order to be elected, the citizen must was at least 20 years old for be a member of the Council,and at least 40 years old for was a member of the Senate,and remained in office for five years.
The minimum age for can vote was 18 years old.
The Supreme Court was the highest judicial authority in the German Reich of Mednyat.
Political Party
Within the German Reich of Mednyat,there was only one political party,the "People's National Party of Mednyat" (German: Nationalen Volkspartei von Mednyat).
The party leader was appointed after a popular election.
The actual leader of the People's National Party of Mednyat was Claus Von Heinberg.

The law of the 19 November 2014,number 5,article 1,paragraph 1,edited in 25 November 2014,established that was a citizen of the German Reich of Mednyat:
- A son/daughter of a father/mother with citizenship of the German Reich of Mednyat,that borned inside national territory;
- A son/daughter of a father/mother with citizenship of the German Reich of Mednyat,that borned outside national territory;
- Everyone that after have required to become a citizen at the Department of Citizenship,received a positive answer.
In the German Reich of Mednyat,the citizenship was assigned to people by Ministry of Employement and Citizenship.
It provided citizens of a passport,that citizens used as identity document,only inside the national territory.

- Cigarettes and drugs was forbidden inside the national territory;if someone was caught in its possession risked a condemns of 2 months of jail;
- Inside national territory,death sentence was allowed for bad crimes,like homicide and rapes;
- Every building that was built or restored in the national territory must had a solar system energy,for allow people to don't need the use of gas (for example in kitchen or heating);
- Every citizen received from the government a salary of 500 Reichsmark of Mednyi every month;the government gived jobs to citizens in shops inside the national territory,in hospitals,in schools and in national corps,when there was vacant positions,and people continued to had only the 500 Reichsmark of Mednyi salary;
- In case of war,all the citizens was enlisted into the Imperial Army.
