The Grand Duchy of Prussia is a micronation founded in Hyde County,North Carolina (U.S.A.),in november 2014.
Etymology
This Micronation should not be confused with the Duchy of Prussia, which existed from 1525-1701.
History
In november 2014,a young teenager named Christian Newton (now titled Grand Duke Christian Newton I, or Grand Duke Christian) founded the Grand Duchy of Prussia.
Government and politics
The Grand Duchy of Prussia is administered by the Grand Duke and the Crown (the legislative function of government). The Grand Duke has (somewhat) absolute power, but he has some limits of his power. His limits include:
1) When citizens petition the Prussian government, he must listen (if the petition is reasonable),
2) He cannot take away, or limit the rights of citizens,
3) He cannot pass laws that in some way hurt the citizens,
4) He cannot sentence citizens to cruel and unusual punishment,
5) He cannot sentence citizens without a fair trial.
The Prussian Constitution is very small. It currently has 11 Articles, and no amendments. It can be found on the Official website.

Military
The National Prussian Military (The Prussian Army), is the national defence for the Grand Duchy. It is administered by the Grand Duke, and the members of the Crown.
The leader of the Prussian Army is the Grand Duke (he serves as the Commanding Officer).
In order to join the Prussian Army, is necessary to be a citizen of the Grand Duchy of Prussia, and to be at the least 14 years old.
Is necessary to send an official request to the Prussian government for join the Prussian Army.
The Prussian Army is used for ceremonial purposes.
The Prussian Army has 4 ranks:
• Cadet
• Liuetenant
• Colonel
• Commanding Officer (Grand Duke)
Geography and climate
The county has a total area of 1,424 square miles (3,688.1 km2), of which 613 square miles (1,587.7 km2) is land and 811 square miles (2,100.5 km2) (56.97%) is water.[5] Hyde County's in-land is part of the Inner Banks. Ocracoke Island is part of the Outer Banks.
