Galrea, officially the Province of Galrea (Filipino: Lalawigan ng Galreya), is a landlocked province of Arlandica. It consists of an enclave and two groups of river islands and banks, located in the Philippine provinces of Bulacan and Iloilo. The administrative center is the Imperial City, which is located near Angat River.
The province is important strategic location for the Civil Guard, and as such, it has a base called Camp Harianon, located in Imperial City. The presence of Civil Guard in Galrea plays an important role in regional security and supports operations of Arlandican forces in Luzon island.
History
Galrea, also known as the Galrish Empire, was ruled by Zoe Bernardino, who served as the emperor since its establishment in 2018. However, on the last day of August 2021, Zoe Bernardino entered into an agreement to join Arlandica as a dependency, only to express his desire to separate after signing the agreement due to uncertainties about his decision. This disagreement led to a battle on September 17, 2021, between pro-Arlandican forces linked to the Civil Guard, led by Athena Sanidad, and the Guards of Galrish Empire, led by Zoe Bernardino. The clash resulted in a fierce confrontation known as the Battle of Princepium, concluding with pro-Arlandican forces emerging victorious.
Despite their defeat, pro-Arlandican forces announced its withdrawal from the area and the Galrish Empire faced instability and turmoil, prompting them to officially integrate into Arlandica as a province. This decision was formalized through the signing of the Galrish Accords on July 20, 2022, marking a historic agreement involving Zoe Bernardino, King Jerold I, and President Begley of Begley Commonwealth.
Upon joining the Kingdom of Arlandica, Vladimir Fernsby became the new governor of the province replacing Zoe Bernardino. Galrea embarked on an ambitious endeavor to expand its borders and increase its territory. As part of this effort, Galrea successfully annexed a piece of land in Iloilo and the Territory of the Now-dissolved Republic of Lakan, situated within Masbate Island. Lakan was part of an Arlandican province called Veracruz, which is now dissolved.
On July 29, 2023, Arlandica further expanded its territorial reach by annexing the Corvalon Islands, situated in the Jalaur River within Passi City, Iloilo. Consequently, the Corvalon Islands came under the jurisdiction and governance of Galrea.
On January 19, 2024, the War in Jalaur River broke out, with the Principality of Norgain planning to annex the Corvalon Islands. However, due to the Battle of Corvalon and the presence of the Civil Guard, the annexation was prevented. Later, the Principality of Norgain surrendered.
