History

History of the flag of Mimas

When the Archduchy of Mimas was founded different shades of teal were used in a tricolor fashion. However when Mimasian officials declared that they wanted to follow a more traditional way when it comes to flags, the teal was changed to blue. The current flag was proposed and adopted on 22 September 2020. The new flag was completely redesigned with horizontal stripes of blue on a white background with the red bastion centered on the flag. The red bastion is a Mimasian symbol for home. The tower inside the crown is also similar in shape to a traditional rocket and therefore also a symbol of the Mimasian goal of going home to Mimas.
