The Executive Commissariat for the National Economy, more commonly known as the Economic Commissariat or by the acronym ECNE (pron. "eck-nee"), is one of the two operating arms of the Lordministry of Economics & Currency, the other being the General Currency Commission. The Economic Commissariat is an executive committee elected by the electorate of electoral counties in Princian economic elections and replaces the operations of the Filorux Group board of directors while also including the Dee Group and Penroe-Louçade within its scope of responsibility. The Economic Commissariat was created by the 2022 Economic Democracy Act (2023 Amendment) in response to the Filorux funding crisis and has both the authority to regulate the financial affairs of statutory corporations and legislatory semi-independence on matters pertaining to the economy, meaning it can pass limited by-laws if said laws regulate or direct either the sale of goods/services or Princia's statutory corporations themselves.

National franchises

National franchises are franchises owned and managed by the Economic Commissariat with the purpose of unifying and standardising public services provided two or more of Princia's statutory corporations: the Filorux Group, Penroe-Louçade and the Dee Group.

Princian Transport

Princian Transport is a national franchise created to unify publicly-owned transport networks as part of an operation to balance the Princian economy. Princian Transport's licensed franchisees are presently Filorux Transport (the Filorux Group), the Tri-City & Dual-City Transport Authorities (Penroe-Louçade) and Atiscross Regional Transport (the Dee Group); each remaining responsible for and in control of their own transport networks while using Princian Transport branding and ticketing. Upon the founding of Princian Transport in April 2023, the Economic Commissariat also lifted the ban on fare-charging in each organisation's royal charter of establishment – opting instead for fares set by Princian Transport itself. The justification for this was that fares will not only bring income for other public services but will also introduce an element of competition between statutory corporations, leading to an incentive to provide better and more comprehensive transport links. On some transport links, mostly in areas where statutory corporations operate in close proximity, Princian Transport also acts as an infrastructure manager so that franchisees can compete on shared infrastructure to allow for competition solely on the basis of service adequacy. As of June 2023, a travelcard known as the Waycard is currently being developed and tested by Princian Transport which will eventually allow customers to purchase a minimum 1-year Waycard for discounted travel (40% off) across the entire transport network, similar to the UK's Railcard. Another travelcard, known as the Wondercard, is also being tested – only this travelcard will allow unlimited travel across the entire network, essentially a 100% discount.

Statutory Healthcare Services

Statutory Healthcare Services (or SHS) is a national franchise created to unify the publicly-owned healthcare industry as part of an operation to balance the Princian economy. SHS specialises in hospital ownership and management while franchisees manage employment of staff and ownership of hospital assets under SHS branding. Unlike Princian Transport, membership as a franchisee of SHS is mandatory for all Princian statutory corporations.
